TUSCALOOSA, AL (WBRC) - A woman in Tuscaloosa has been arrested after officials say she made a false rape report.
Homicide investigators were called to DCH medical center to investigate an alleged rape that was said to have happened on January 29 on Kicker Road.
A woman reported she had been pulled over by a man she thought was a police officer in an unmarked Crown Victoria with blue and red flashing lights in the grill.
She told police the man raped her at gunpoint, but it was later found she had made up the story.
Police are charging 40-year-old Wendy Kay Dale for filing a false police report. She was arrested on Tuesday, Feb. 5 and booked into the Tuscaloosa County Jail on a $2,500 bond.
