No False Rape Accusations to report today....

Today in the news, there were no reports of False Rape allegations made.
Not really, but it is April Fools Day......

A Jacksonville Police Department investigation into a criminal sexual assault reported last week has concluded with no charges being filed.

“After further investigation it was determined that no criminal sexual assault had occurred and that the 16-year-old suspect has been cleared of all allegations,” a press release issued by the police department Monday afternoon said.

An investigation was launched after a 17-year-old girl told officers she was sexually assaulted on Wednesday morning at a Jacksonville residence by a boy that she knows.

A police report at 5:40 p.m. Wednesday stated Passavant Area Hospital had a juvenile in the emergency room “who stated she was sexually assaulted [that] morning near the high school.”

“I can’t speak of any evidence we may or may not have gathered at the hospital,“ Deputy Chief Tim Shea said. “The crime did not happen. No criminal sexual assault occurred.”

Police are looking into the possibility of filing a charge of making a false report against the girl, “but we have not made that determination, yet,”  Shea said.
