A thought occurred to me as I read the following story. In almost every news report we run here, an advocate from what we call the "Sexual Grievance Industry" is quoted in the article about how a false accusation keeps real victims of rape from coming forward.
I don't recall a single one of those people being interviewed/quoted, when a man makes a false accusation.
Those studies that deal with men being raped show that most men who are raped don't come forward. Given that, you would think that in these cases, sexual assault "experts" would be speaking up about the same thing. There seems to be far less concern about underreporting when it's a male lying about being raped.
Or is it that the reporters don't bother to make the effort to contact anyone in the rape support arena for these kinds of cases?
Something to think about.
A Utica man was charged with making a false written statement recently after he told police he’d been raped by another man, city police said.
Robert Brower, 42, went to the Utica police station on Feb. 17 to report he had been raped and sodomized. But a subsequent investigation found the incident did not occur, police said.
Making a false statement is a misdemeanor.

They don't care, either about men who really are raped or who are victims of false rape accusations.
It's all about stupid activists staying relevent by exploiting men, forever.
And people say we don't focus on false reports made by men.
Steve makes a very interesting point. There is no question in my mind that there is a double standard here. You want to talk about "underreporting" -- men probably "underreport" by multiple times, because of the stigma of a man being forced to submit in that manner.
Pierce,
I just find it interesting, that in every story we have run on this site (and yes, I went back and checked), not a single one has anyone from any shelter or rape support line, quoted or even interviewed. It really does highlight the bias in the perception of male and female rape victim support.
Could the problem be that advocates and other hangers on swoop in to claim the spoils when the Victim is female, but there are NO advocates or organizations to aid men who are raped?
It wold be interesting to challenge the local rape hysteric league for an official explanation.
And let me make clear what I stated above. On every story we have run where the false accuser was a man, there is not mention of any shelter or support line mentioned.
Not in every story. That would be ridiculous

I don't think there is any chance of them doing such. It is not considered "politically correct".
Do I detect a double standard here? Men can lie about being raped as well. We cannot tell from the story what really happened. We don't know who lied about what. I am a man and was falsely accused of rape or sexual assault. I never got arrested even though the accuser called the Sheriff. I respect everyone's opinion here but you don't know how traumatized I am by being falsely accused. I don't know if accuser said I forced him into sex or not. I think he might had said we had consensual sex and he told me to stop and I didn't. At any rate, you should show same support for male who was accused of sex crime against male as you do for male accused by female. I wish I could prove my facts to all of you.
