Corbin Woman arrested for falsely reporting incident

Two things. First, she has been charged. Second, and more importantly, the man, although he was arrested, isn't named.

About 11 a.m. Wednesday morning, Laura L. Sparks, 20, of Corbin, was charged with falsely reporting an incident.

She was taken to the Laurel County Corrections Center.

She had reported to Laurel County Detectives Charlie Loomis and Stacy Anderkin who investigated an alleged sexual assault in south Laurel County on Saturday morning.

The woman reported the sexual assault and went to the Baptist Regional Medical Center.

She reported it to Sheriff’s Deputy William Bo Harris and Loomis continued the investigation.

He arrested a 25-year-old man from Corbin and was taken to the Laurel County Corrections Center on a sexual assault charge.

The investigation by Loomis continued and determined that Sparks had gone to his home and later reported that she had been assaulted.

Witnesses’ statements and a followup interview with Sparks and her own admissions indicated it was a consensual act.

Following her admissions, she was arrested.

Assault charges against the man are expected to be dismissed.

Im as enthusiastic as you are about the recent law enforcement efforts to rain in the exlposion of false rape accusation in America over the last 10-15 years.
I beleive this girl can still claim the "rape Victim Funds" at her local womens shelter, because at these womens centers "They Always believe the women"; Even when she is lying.

From my neck of the woods, cops here ARE starting to charge women who make false accusations more regularly:

BOULDER, Colo. -- For the second time in three weeks, Boulder police have cited a young woman for fabricating an assault story.

Boulder police on Wednesday said they have cited 18-year-old Allyson M. Manley with false reporting after she claimed that a man tried to sexually assault her in October.

Obviously, it's no guarantee that she will receive any real and meaningful punishment, but at least these FRA's are being "outed", and not “swept under the rug” the way they used to be.

And, it’s the local paper for Corbin, KY that did it to him. At least that article made it quite clear that the sexual assault allegation was false and that all charges against him were dismissed.

Of course, some local feminist and white knights will still refuse to accept the truth and will continue to view him as a “rapist”.

Still, in the future, people will be able to Google “Laura L. Sparks” and get this local news item, which includes her picture.

Hopefully, all men in Corbin, the surrounding areas, and everywhere else she might go will be able to know to avoid her, and her false allegation will doom her to spinsterhood with plenty of cats. [What? Am I being too mean in wishing to see a woman who was more than willing to ruin a man’s life by her lies instead have her life ruined instead by those same lies?]

This is another incident you may find interesting:
http://www.asiaone.com/News/AsiaOne%2BNews/Malaysia/Story/A1Story20120217-328374.html

- Scoutmaster says he was framed in case where he is accused of molesting 12 girls who took over 6 months to say anything to their parents (?), who then assaulted him

http://www.mmail.com.my/story/outrage-over-man’s-release

- Molestation is on par with rape

Here's the interesting thing:
- The girls also claim his daughter(s) were molested
BUT
- The daughters say they weren't, and the wife is backing him up.

6 months to speak up seems damn fishy.
This case will be a test for the "so-called" idea that Asia is a place where "men are favoured", there are no "False Rape Accusations" and interestingly, there is no "Innocence Project" there.

I don't believe that police in Asia are miraculously more capable of solving crimes such that innocent people are never prosecuted.

Yes, you ARE being extremely mean. What did those cats ever do to you?

No problem Steve. Next time however I will email you directly.

The spinsterhood and cats may seem a pretty thought, but in reality plenty of men will step up to spend time with her.

Look at Crystal Mangum.

I'm surprised you were able to find an example in the USA.
On the bright side:
The computing power it took to find one RA accuser actually being charged is many times greater than that used to operate the moon mission.

I imagine it is so rare the
computing power it took to find it could have done an entire mars mission.

Hello everyone. My wonderful husband died yesterday. I guess that's what it took to make me put priorities in order. For every minute I spent here and elsewhere, I wish I had spent those moments curled up on the couch with my husband. How foolish I was to wear blinders and ignore the big picture. God is surely waving his finger at me saying "You had your chance and blew it" .... Please give more hugs to those you love.

My sincere condolences, GG.

I spent a great deal of time in recrimination after my son was falsely accused.

I never appreciated what a wonderful happy life I had "before" until it was taken away that terrible day.

I truly wish you peace. -Alyce

Alyce, I so appreciate that. You can probably relate to this. I took too much for granted for too long. Today, I'm trying to get my crying jags out of the way before the house is a zoo. I'm terribly sorry your family has been thru the pain of a false accusation.

Apologies to all here I have pissed off.

GG

Funny how I'm suddenly all lovey-dovey with no urge to pick battles with the FRS. The consequences of my behavior must be in the scriptures somewhere ... I'll find it :)

ok, peace! Thanks for letting me vent, Pearce.

FRS was never your enemy, GG.

Like you, they are people harmed by a great insufferable injustice.

You were denied the opportunity for justice after waiting too long to ask for it.

We were denied justice for being deemed unworthy of it from the get go.

Believe me when I say I understand your pain, but your injustice came about by your own inaction.

Our injustice came about no matter what action was taken.

The person who victimized you may be going about his life without remorse or concern for the harm he caused, but so are those who victimize by making false accusations.

You have more in common with FRS than not. You are an intelligent person. I'm surprised you never saw the connection.
