"A young man’s reputation is in tatters based on an anonymous allegation that he committed sexual assault. And this, folks, is why we need to have one simple, standard way of judging whether sexual assault is sexual assault or not. There should be proof—good proof, not just a hairsbreadth of proof—that a crime has been committed. That proof should be given to police. And colleges and universities should get the hell out of the criminal-justice business."

The linked article states that these matters are supposed to be confidential. Yet apparently several sources with inside information "leaked" it to the press. This could be a violation of that confidentiality and if I were Patrick Witt I would consider filing a lawsuit against the university for violating that confidentiality. He has obviously suffered damages to his education (loss of Rhodes Scholarship) and reputation. More lawsuits against colleges and universities will likely result in changes to these policies. The lawfirm that advocated the changes to policy that resulted in the use of preponderence of evidence did so on the grounds that it would protect them from potential liability. If, in fact it results in more liability, schools will be forced to reconsider.

Good article. The truth is increasingly evident that feminism for all its claims to represent equality and seek a more humane society is a far more authoritarian, undemocratic, and unjust value system than whatever social values, attitudes, and policies preceded it.
There is no longer any middle ground in America. A feminist is a radical feminist. Historically, during the past century progressives, marxists, fascists, corporatists, communists, etc have been the ones responsible for most of the human oppression and mass murder.
