Because of that, coupled with our traditionally uncompromising advocacy, it should not have been unexpected that our traffic surge would bring with it a fair number of haters. In the past few weeks, the comments to our posts have been subjected to countless attacks by the lunatic fringe of militant feminism. In the news story linked below, another taxi driver has been falsely accused of rape by a woman who couldn't pay the fare.  These taxi cases evince a disturbing pattern to toss working class drivers under their own cabs, so to speak, over paltry matters -- usually because the false accusers didn't have the fare to pay for the ride. In almost all of these cases, the taxi drivers' lives, and the lives of their families, are turned completely turned down until the lie is exposed.  For the price of a cab ride, men and their families are forced to experience what is likely the worst thing they will ever experience.

The woman who told police she was sexually assaulted by a man Saturday morning in Fremont was lying, investigators said Tuesday.

The woman, who gave interviews describing the fake attack in detail, told police she was approached by an unknown man about 1:50 a.m. near North 43rd Street and Linden Avenue North.
