False Allegation of a Serious Sexual Assault

Detectives investigating an allegation of a serious sexual assault on a young girl in Leeds on Friday night say the allegation is false.

The 14 year old girl had initially told police she was seriously sexually assaulted in an alleyway just off Harehills Road, Leeds, at around 9.50pm last Friday (25 November).

However during interview she stated that she had made the allegation up.

DCI Simon Atkinson, of West Yorkshire Police's Homicide and Major Enquiry Team (HMET), said the girl had now been referred to specialists through the Safeguarding Unit in Leeds where she is receiving support.

He said: We will always thoroughly and proactively investigate any serious sexual assault reported to us and provide ongoing support to the victim.

"However, in this particular case, we have discovered a false allegation has been made and the appropriate referrals have been put in place in order to support this girl.

Even after being found to be just another of the many false accusers, she will still get tax-payer funded support for her issues (only a female who has been treated poorly by males will make such a false accusation, right? -- sarcasm off).

The support she will get is way more than a male found innocent of false rape will get to help him deal with helping get his life back together. I could care less that she is fourteen since she is old enough to know better and needs to be held accountable just as a male would be of raping or making a false police report.

I wonder if she got around to naming her supposed attacker. If so, will HE - the real victim - stand a chance of having the attention the police claim: "...provide ongoing support to the victim. "

If so, it would be the first time I've heard of the UK police caring about the victim instead of caring about the female, whether she be victim or perpetrator.

Universities, states and the whole of society fail men and boys in every way possible. None of them can fully compensate their male victims.
