A lame joke mocking the absurd statistic-mongers who claim one-in-you-fill-in-the-blank women are raped, or that a rape occurs once-every-you-fill-in-the-blank. The PSA is offensive because it is typical of PSA's about rape. In this one, two males are depicted. One is a pig, the other is an unhelpful bystander. While any male above a certain age can be a rapist, the suggestion that this scenario is typical is absurd.
The persons who control the public discourse on rape would have us believe there is no typical rapist but that all of masculinity is infected by "rape culture," and that our college campuses -- relatively safe venues by any measure -- are hotbeds of male sexual predatory misconduct, even though they aren't.
The fact is, rape offenders are disproportionately found among the lower socioeconomic classes, persons mired in a cistern of hopelessness and dependency. They are typically under-educated, under-employed, and under-skilled.
This, of course, doesn't fit the preferred narrative of radicals like Jessica Valenti. who once posited: "Rape is part of our culture; it's normalized to the point where men who are otherwise decent guys will rape and not even think that it's wrong. And that's what terrifies me."
"Normalized." That's the word she used.
These people are pathological.

One would think that university males would start to question their Gender-raunch masters after Julian Assange's false rape accusations.
I was just reading that he is now to be extradited to Sweden where he will face the Perverts.
The missinformation and manufacterd statistics Alliance between law enforcement and Gender-raunch, in many western nations have created a monster.
Maybe the world will see the travesty of the situation and will take pre-emptive steps to break any developing "perversion and manufactured statistics Alliance" that their law enforcement want to get their greedy hands into.

As for the video, you are denying that we don't all know a hundred guys like that, and that most of your readers are probably just like him? You're denying that all men not only are capable of rape but that rape is part of what it means to be male in today's society? You are denying that men routinely exploit women for their sexual gratification, and that the only reason most men aren't in jail is that women virtually never report that they've been raped?

If a woman is raped every two minutes, now the total female population has raped. And the rape process is beginning for the second time for going on. How funny? This is a modern hysteria.
I agree that David Futrelle is evil. His shtick is to lump anyone who dares to speak out for any right that affects men in one grand loony stew. To do this, he is forced to reach for the most extreme examples from the men's rights movement. When mens righters do this to feminism (and yes, that's alot easier to do than what Fruitrelle does), they are accused of misrespresenting feminism.

Futrelle reminds me of the smug, mugging little boy who makes his small circle of friends laugh by making fun of retarded kids. It's the only way that little boy finds acceptance. I'd love to debate him sometime, but he's never exhibitted anything approaching the intellectual rigor to make it worthwhile. When Paul Elam debated him -- and remember Futrelle supposedly is a professional writer -- Paul made little Davey with the horrid haircut (I am assuming that picture is Davey as a chid -- ahhh, isn't that so-o-o-o cute?) look screeching and silly. Davey should spend his time posting pictures of his cat, it would contribute more to the world.
If you can't guess, I loathe and despise mean-spirited (and really unfunny) hacks like this asshole. I have much more respect for feminists with whom I rarely agree but who treat the debate seriously.
Debate is not possible with his kind. While you generally talk about real issues, informaton, and facts, they speak in insults and in self-evident conclusions. I could just hear such a "debate": "You're a DOUCHEBAG, Archivist. Lol!"
It's because so many cries for help from the raped have been ignored over the years (see the "she was asking for it/dressed like a hooker" and so on camps for that) that they are in fact afraid to report rape. Rapists can be quite demeaning and make the victim (whether male or female) believe they 'deserved it' or that they were the offending party.
Maybe not every two minutes, but far from rarely. And yes, it does happen with people that are known to the victim.
Any person is capable of rape, no matter what genitalia they have. The difference lies in whether they do it or whether they don't.
