A woman and her husband have been booked for allegedly abetting suicide of a Dalit youth by levelling false rape charges against him, police said.
In Pakistan, 23-year-old Sonu had committed suicide by consuming poison after Rekha (40) and her husband accused him of raping her on August 3 in village Domai, police said.
Following the incident, Sonu''s family and villagers demanded Rekha''s arrest for levelling false charges against the victim.
A case has been registered against Rekha and her husband, police said.
SP (Rural), A K Mishra visited the village and deployed police force to maintain law and order.
