In answer to the question posed by the headline of this post: somehow, I most seriously doubt it. If the New York Police Department did that, NOW and the screeching banshees from the sexual grievance industry would have one of their de rigueur conniptions, and someone in law enforcement would be forced to apologize. But it looks like the case against Strauss-Kahn is collapsing under the weight of his accuser's lies. So says the New York Times, which is not in the habit of jumping the gun to vilify a rape accuser.
Here's the story, according to the New York Times: "The sexual assault case against Dominique Strauss-Kahn is on the verge of collapse as investigators have uncovered major holes in the credibility of the housekeeper who charged that he attacked her in his Manhattan hotel suite in May." A highlight: "prosecutors do not believe much of what the accuser has told them about the circumstances or about herself." And: "the accuser has repeatedly lied" to police.
To paraphrase Captain Renault: "I'm shocked, shocked to find that lying about rape is going on in here!"
The Times continues: "The revelations are a stunning change of fortune for Mr. Strauss-Kahn," and "prosecutors from the office of the Manhattan district attorney, Cyrus R. Vance Jr., . . . initially were emphatic about the strength of the case and the account of the victim."
The problem? They haven't been reading this blog.
Or Ferdinand Bardamu's. Ferdinand cuts to the chase and says it more bluntly: "Never let the facts get in the way of a good story. Anyone with a lick of sense knows that it’s nearly impossible for a man to force a woman to go down on him, because she has these little things called “teeth” that she can use to bite his dick off. Unless Strauss-Kahn was holding a gun to her head, this part of the story should have been laughed to scorn."
Back on May 17, we wrote: "Without knowing with any degree of certainty a single detail about the alleged incident, aside from the fact that it is a classic 'he said/she said' rape allegation, the world has allowed an internationally prominent public servant to be destroyed by an unnamed hotel maid it knows absolutely nothing about."
And now, after they actually have investigated the claim, and the maid, the New York district attorney's office appears to have jumped the gun. "Oops! Ha ha ha! Looks like we destroyed this guy a little too fast. Oh, well, that's the way it goes. Ha ha ha."
Friends, I have said this repeatedly and I will say it again and again: we have handed anonymous women and children far, far too much power to destroy the lives and reputations of presumptively innocent men before even a scrap of evidence has been introduced to prove their guilt.
It would be incredibly amusing how often the sexual grievance industry uses liars to tout their cause if the stakes for innocent men and boys weren't so serious.
As reader Mudlark said when he sent us this story: "I hope this case is finally the one that is big enough to cause a change in how quickly the media accepts guilt."
I do, too. But little things like "facts" don't matter to people who are trying to make a larger point -- about how men mistreat women, even when they don't.

Maybe, finally, they've messed with someone big enough and powerful enough for there to be repercussions, if indeed the case does collapse. After all, this could fundamentally affect the outcome of nothing less than the French presidential election. I know that many on this blog have no time for socialists of any kind, but French socialists can legitimately cry foul, that their candidate who was quite likely to defeat Nicholas Sarkozy, has been prevented from running in this way.
The French government is a big player on the world stage and public opinion there seemed to be reasonably supportive of DSK, even before the latest revelations.
This case can be compared with the case in which CPS took away the children of two Serbian (legal) immigrants. Whilst CPS normally seems to be able to do this with impunity, in this case they got them back due to the intervention of the Serbian government. If the Serbian government can do this for a couple of ordinary citizens, think what the French government could do for one of its big beasts.
If this could happen to one of the most powerful men in the world, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, you can bet your bottom dollar it could happen to YOU too brother!
Time to change the ridiculously egregious laws that have lost purpose and meaning and are far too damaging to men on the mere words of a woman who can cry rape for a multitude of reasons ranging from being upset with her boyfriend for dumping her to covering up an affair or simply to get a leg up on divorce and child custody.
How will this woman correct the damage she has done to this man? She obviously can't! So who will pay for his damages? The State, I mean you and me??? Just wondering?
This man's life has been ruined and permanently altered for life by one woman, with a criminal background, who chose to utter the word RAPE.
Currently I personally know of two cases in Ontario where men have been wrongly accused of rape. In one case the man has been convicted and sentenced to 10 years in prison.
He is currently out on bail pending appeal. While in prison for 8 weeks waiting for court transcripts the courts intentionally delayed releasing, this man witnessed 5 men hang themselves!
He explained to me that many of the men are in prison on bogus domestic charges. Year three of his abuse as his bail is like house arrest and prohibits him to have a private moment with his children. The other man is ahead of trial and being slowly ground up by the allegations and court processes.
In both of these cases it involves disgruntled daughters who wanted to inflict harm against their dad! How sad that society would and does tolerate this kind of abuse against innocent men enabling women even teenage girls to pervert the law with impunity if they so choose! Makes you wonder who teaches girls to do this to men?
Rape laws were meant to empower women to deal with genuine rape and NOT to empower them to destroy men at will. Men were conveniently left out from being possible victims as they were cast to play the role of criminal exclusively!

Strauss Khan ,or the other 70 year old egyptian banker who was falselly accused of raping a maid, didn't rape anyone. I doubt these old men could get boners, saying nothing about over-power and raping a 30 year old African American women in a crowded hotel.

In a sudden turning of the tide, the case against Dominique Strauss-Kahn for alleged sex attacks against a chambermaid at the Sofitel in New York hangs from a thread after reports surfaced that the accuser consistently lied to prosecutors and had connections with drug dealers and money launderers.
Strauss-Kahn was released on his own recognizance Friday morning after prosecutors told a judge at Manhattan Supreme Court that they had doubts about the strength of the case. His passport, though, wasn’t returned and the case was not dismissed. The next court date is set for July 18.
While there is “unambiguous” evidence of a sexual encounter, the 32-year-old maid from Guinea has seen her credibility seriously damaged by a series of suspicious events reported by the New York Times. (Read Court Documents Provide Graphic Description Of Alleged Strauss-Kahn Attacks).
Prosecutors working for Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus R. Vance Jr. have found that the woman had a phone conversation a day after the alleged sex attack with an incarcerated man where she discussed the benefits of raising charges against Strauss-Kahn, or DSK as he is known in France. The man she spoke with had been arrested on charges of possessing 400 pounds of Marijuana and was also one of many who made a series of cash deposits to the chambermaid’s account totaling approximately $100,000 over the last two years, The Times reported.
Investigators also found the woman had paid hefty bills to five different phone companies; she had originally claimed she owned only one phone.
Much more seriously, the maid from Guinea lied to prosecutors about her asylum application some 10 years ago. The prosecution confirmed that there was no indication of previous rape of genital mutilation in her asylum application, as the accuser had claimed. According to the NY Post, the woman could be deported for that.
While the woman had been portrayed as a hard working single mom trying to make a living in New York and worried only about her child, the Post claims investigators have “unearthed photographs of her drinking and partying, despite her professed Muslim faith.”
When questioned about the various inconsistencies in her story, the accuser claimed the deposits were made by her fiancé and his friends, insisted that she only had one cell phone, and reiterated that she had been sexually attacked by DSK. (Read IMF Appoints Lagarde To Fix A Disgraced Institution).
Now, another narrative is emerging to replace the first, with the disclosure by the prosecution of discrepancies in the victim’s statements, including misrepresentations about her background, and of her connection to a jailed man with whom she allegedly discussed how she might benefit from the case.

Did you even read the passage you quoted. Other people have beat me to it, but I still want to point out that the passage is referring specifically to oral sex, not vaginal or anal sex. No one said that men need guns to rape women vaginally or anally.
