NOW, You Can Cry Me A River . . .

I'll be concerned about this the day you publicly call for the repeal of Fed.R.Evid. 413. See here.

Thanks to Mudlark for the link.

"I think men count on us women to be afraid to report rape."

sexist pig. Feminists do the same.

The same question deeply troubles Sonia Ossorio of the National Organization for Women.

"Our culture has no sympathy for a woman we consider to be less than pristine," says Ossorio, executive director of NOW's New York City chapter. "We see it play out in our courtrooms -- district attorneys don't indict in cases where there are 'credibility issues.' They do credit checks -- because apparently a woman with bad credit isn't a good witness."

What a liar! It's really the victims of false rape accusations who never get sympathy in our pathetic feminist culture.

Lying whores gotta stick together!

And ya'll see the implied argument here, right?

Even if the man is innocent, it is the duty of the sisterhood to nifong him because otherwise "IT'LL HURT REAL VICTIM!" wah wah wah.

”Bakalar, who was raped 13 years ago, remembers being amazed that even as a college freshman, defense lawyers tried to "paint me as a slut."”

Text-book strawman argument here. Rape Shield Laws no longer allow the alleged victim to be investigated in the court room.

However, what I believe is actually being argued in this DFP piece id that alleged victims should not be investigated at all.

That’s why their tying in the DSK investigation, which is NOT being conducted in a court room, but rather as it should be, by police and prosecutors. The piece is about trying to compare what DSK’s accuser is going through to women who’ve had it done to them while on the stand, in the court room, in from of the public. Outside of any leaks to the press, DSK’s accuser is being investigated away from the public eye. There is no legitimate comparison!

There is, in fact a very legitimate reason to do background checks (not to mention the social media checks that are also routinely done) – the defense will being doing those same checks, and if the information comes out at trial, then it could doom even real rape cases.

And, it’s not that bad credit makes a bad witness, it’s that a perceived need for money could well be a reason for fabricating a rape claim (to get victims assistance money). We’ve actually seen such cases reported here on this forum.

And, as I’ve noted for a couple of years here, the investigators (at least those in the DA’s offices) have been doing checks of what activities the alleged victims have been up to on social media sites. Recently, a case from the UK was detailed here in which such a check lead to the uncovering of an FRA.

Yes, such checks are a very legitimate part of any rape/sexual assault allegation.

The slut who was drunk and naked at a party, coming on to multiple men, who later tries to repair her reputation by claiming to have been raped certainly doesn’t want it coming out that she behaved the way she did – and neither does RAINN and NOW.

And, while I can agree that such information should not come out at trial, it absolutely should be looked into by investigators. And, if the prosecutor subsequently declines to prosecute the case based on that discovered behavior, then, rather than bitch and moan that she wasn’t taken seriously, and that she was investigated as well; she (and the SGI) should be grateful that it didn’t go to trial, because the defense would certainly be bring it out, and doing so in the most embarrassing way possible.

And why aren't we discussing how many decades the lying piece of shit will have to serve for destroying the life of an innocent man?

The National Organization of Whores makes me sick!

A little off topic, but abc news just published a piece called "Is sexting a womens game"??
I say, sure, guys don't dare to sext steamy messages like the girls can, cause if a guy does if (Even when the girl initiates it), months later when they no longer are interested in each other..SHE CAN GO TO THE PORK BLOATED POLICE...AND THE GUY CAN BE HARRASSED FOR SENDING THE TEXTS....EVEN IF HE WAS ONLY FLIRTING WITH HER, WHEN SHE STARTED THE TEXTS.
This is an example of American law enforcement bloating itself on federal pork dollars to protect women (EVEN FROM THEMSELVES), and men and boys are paying the price.
Stop the perversion, stop the pork bloating, stop the harrasment of innocent men and boys, stop the "federal pork bloating for perversion Alliance" between law enforcement and pork bloating perverts.
