You do remember Jerry Brown, don't you? He's been dogged with being a "flake" for as long as he's been on the political scene. See, e.g., here.
Funny, no one ever thought that calling Jerry Brown a "flake" was a slur against all men. Probably because it wasn't.
But when FOX News host Chris Wallace asked Michele Bachmann if she's a flake, all gender-hell broke loose, and the usual banshees had their usual conniption. Don't believe me? Go to Google News and type in Michele Bachmann and flake and sexism and catch up on some of the inane punditry that passes for political analysis in this culture. (Note that when a female politician tells a male politician to "man up," that's a "you go girlfriend!" moment. I want to hear someone use that phrase to Palin or Bachmann, just to see the reaction.)
And all I can say is, here we go again. Is that what it's going to be again in this campaign -- no man is permitted to attack a female candidate without being accused of hating women? Just as some insist on conflating all attacks on our mixed race president with racism?
If that's going to be the standard for this election -- where any criticism of a female candidate by any male is automatically construed as "sexism" and "misogyny" -- then this nation isn't ready for a woman president, and every person of good will needs to vote against any woman who runs on that basis alone.
We cannot have a president who is immune from criticism just because she has a vagina.

To your garden variety gender feminist or hypocrite, (mangina) (funny, there seems to be an awful lot of both in the MSM)it's empowerment.
It's the same crap that followed Arlen Specturd after he admonished Bachmann to "act like a lady". However there was nary a peep during the general election when there were multiple incidents of female political candidates challenging their male opponents to "man up". It was a "you go girl" moment, not a "you're a misandrist" moment.
The same question applies to "benevolent sexism". If we compliment women on feminine characteristics or "shield" them from what is considered "masculine" tasks we are dirty, rotten, pig sexists. Yet, the geniuses behind this charade selectively ignored the other side of the coin (as they did in relation to this post). if a woman compliments a man for "masculine" characteristics...well? What if she expects a man to shield her from "masculine" tasks??? For example, EXPECTING (operative word)him the hold the door open or pick up the tab on the date, cut the grass, take out the trash, and so on.
But to gender feminsists, manginas, and the MSM sexism is only a one-way-street.
Look at the countries which already have female heads of state - Germany, Brazil being two examples - and tell me where they are heading. Thailand has just joined the list with the election of Yingluck Shinawatra, and I can honestly say the country is now placed on the long (maybe short) road to ruin.
I love how one person made the claim (or atleast that i found in a 10 minute search) and almost everyone is circulating the same article that references it. I scrolled through most of the comments and everyone seems to be calling bullshit to the claim, so I am not too worried about that. What I find more disappointing is that that someone says "misogynist!" and everyone's ears perk up and look toward them. I wouldnt mind so much if everyone didn't post the same article on every news site.
Michelle Bachman is an absolute nutcase. I'm ashamed to share her state.
I don't think we need to worry about having a woman President any time soon. There are no woman politicians in America who have the timber for it, at this time.
The women who dislike this situation can get off of their lazy asses and run for something. With 54% of the vote they should easily be able to take any office available.
The news programs and radio talk was filled with this sexism talk. "He wouldn't have asked that question of a man." Bullshit.
What's really sad is that he apologized for asking it.
I remember everyone calling Jerry Brown a flake; hell, they do it now! They call him 'Governor Moonbeam'...
