I have been left with a loss of words. Please check out the responses to this (and note, that they all appear to be women).
It does appear that there is a bit of a shifting tide in the way this is being looked at:

These women live in the real world and not some effed-up thought world (where a woman is always the victim and so on) :]
It is refreshing, then again, in other threads, some things never change.

Even more unbelievable(not really) for me is some of the punishments the women are suggesting. Ofcourse you have your true believers who feel the rape accused should just get counseling, but most of the women are actually suggesting jailtime(with several comments saying it should be the exact same as the sentence the supposed rapist would've gotten), and then there was one suggesting the liar be raped by the man she lied on. I thought men were the violent ones haha
Good. There's been a shifting tide lately in the UK. Read any comments section of online editorials of manjor newspapers. People are angry and not buying into liberal bullshit anymore.
What is the political stance of this website/forum you've linked? Selection bias perhaps?
Encouraging. I note that the site has a very international flavor.
Furthermore, I also noted that the women who patronize such a site were mothers, which means that they are far more likely to be married and/or in a constructive relationship with a man. I suspect this fact has a lot to do with a more positive attitude toward male sexuality and a more realistic view of female sexuality. Especially since they may have had to fend off homewreckers away from their husband. The wedding band being a DHV and pre-qualifier and all that.
Presuming all women support FRAs is exactly the same thinking that all men support rape.
The crazy extremists hate men and wish to eliminate the competition for education, jobs, power.
The vast majority of women just wanna get along, find true love, and raise fine sons.
It's too bad, but the squeaky wheels are getting the grea$e, while men - and the women who loce them - are just getting hosed.
not that unbelievable really. ask any rape victim what she thinks of false rape accusers and how they trivialize the pain felt by real rape victims.
as much as we hate false rape accusers... real victims hate them more...
"As much as the rape charge would have been."
YES. Some women DO get it!

Brandon, read the article. It's even worse with that joke Katie Couric.
If you listen to everything, you would assume that the athletes the girl accused of rape got away with it. But nope. The university put down guilty verdicts for them.
It gets even funnier. She won her case and somehow her civil rights got violated. That's why her lawsuit failed. I guarantee the court looked at her like she was crazy for that reason. Seriously, how could her civil rights get violated if they believed her? It makes zero sense.
As Hughman says, comments to newspapers have been getting more angry at the absolute misandry and double standards...
The main reaction from the MSM themselves has been to censor or close comments, so I wouldn't get too much hope up just yet.
The "Unbelievable Link" is not unbelievable at all, as it reflects the opinion of approx 90% of men and women.
Trouble is we deal with the radicals on both sides of the aisle, day in and day out. Let's not forget that groups like us comprise only 10% of society's opinion.
It is unbelievable because the persons who generally post on the internet about these issues are those intent on debunking commonly accepted views, even though they generally are wrong. Here, they are right, and they mirror the common consensus.
Pretty shocked to see the results myself, but Wapiti's explanation seems to stand to reason.
Also, if I might add, mothers tend to be a bit older and more experienced. Age and experience themselves don't eliminate idiocy or radical ideals but at the very least they give you more opportunities to form a fair opinion of things.
Although I cannot access the link as it is blocked on this PC I don't find it surprising from what I have seen in the comments here. I am the founder of Shattered Men, ministry for abused MEN although we have many women in our on line support group. These women are very strong in their support for men and most would say the same as these on this link.
We have long advocated (and our women have supported it) that a false accuser should have the same sentence as those they a have accused would have gotten. I have written about it here:
http://www.shatterdmen.com/False%20Witnes.htm
False accusations cost our nation many billions of dollars each year yet little is being done to the accusers. False accusations cost the 3 men at Duke over a million dollars each and many more men college scholarships and the town millions of dollars but the only one who committed a crime that night got rewarded by Al Sharpton (as a pastor myself, I refuse to call that man Rev.) when he paid her way through college.
I will check that link when I get to my home PC.
Dehbashi,
I did read the article, and it was extremely biased as you might be suggesting with your reference to Katie Couric.
In addition, I read the transcripts of the disciplinary hearing made available by the University of the Pacific and the Judge's ruling dismissing Brennan's claim against the school.
Two of the accused were suspended and the third was expelled. The evidence in the transcript was heavily redacted, but the testimony offered cast doubt over Brennan's claim of sexual assault.
http://www.pacific.edu/Pacific-Facts.html
here is a university page that contains the links to the judge's ruling and the analysis of the disciplinary panel.
The main reason why I posted a link to the Couric article and the comments contained in it was to illustrate what is of greater concern to me in relation to rape allegations, the almost automatic way in which society accepts the word of the accuser as credible, concrete evidence of rape and immediately condemns the accused as rapists.
great post. it is indeed refreshing to read such. the responses were a mix of female self-interest about concern for real rape victims being believed to how it destroys men's lives even if they never end up in prison. the calls for punishment were also interesting.
pierce, steven, and all regulars please keep up the great work here. i injured myself recently while avoiding an out of control trailer unit that was being towed. therefore my comments here will be limited for awhile.

This is good news, and not terribly surprising.
The majority of Men and WOMEN that I talk to all think that things like this (especially the propaganda) have gotten way out of control.
Not only are they out of control, but most people are waking up to the damage that flat out wrong statistics has done to society.
The people still spreading the lies, hysteria and bogus factoids are really only making total fools out of themselves.
"It ruins the life of the one accused AND makes it far more difficult for actual rape to be taken seriously."
Quotes like these are popping up more and more. I never would have seen something like this back in the day. It used to be that, whenever false rape was even acknowledged as anything more than a misogynist fantasy, the only victims in the case were the actual rape victims in other cases who are supposedly taken less seriously. Then the discussion was over, period - because really, the guy who was accused probably did it anyway, they would say to themselves.
The fact that people are actually even mentioning the falsely accused at all, and even going so far as to think of them as victims and how it ruins their lives (ie. thinking of them as actual human beings), shows the huge changes that have been happening in everyday people's consciousness concerning false rape. I wonder when college and the media will catch up.
