The incomparable Ferdinand Bardamu has published the name of Dominique Strauss-Kahn’s accuser.
While knee-jerk progressives will condemn naming the accuser, read the following quotations, and then find me someone who can plausibly rebut them.
First, here is what the brilliant Prof. Alan Dershowitz once said:
“People who have gone to the police and publicly invoked the criminal process and accused somebody of a serious crime such as rape must be identified. In this country there is no such thing and should not be such a thing as anonymous accusation. If your name is in court it is a logical extension that it should be printed in the media. How can you publish the name of the presumptively innocent accused but not the name of the accuser?”
Second, here is an excerpt of a piece feminist superstar Naomi Wolf recently wrote:
"Feminists have long argued that rape must be treated like any other crime. But in no other crime are accusers kept behind a wall of anonymity. Treating rape so differently serves only to maintain its mischaracterization as a 'different' kind of crime, loaded with cultural baggage and projections.
"Finally, there is a profound moral issue at stake. Though children’s identities should, of course, be shielded in sex-crime allegations, women are not children. If one makes a serious criminal accusation, one must wish to be treated – and one must treat oneself – as a moral adult.
. . . .
"It is wrong – and sexist – to treat female sex-crime accusers as if they were children, and it is wrong to try anyone, male or female, in the court of public opinion on the basis of anonymous accusations. Anonymity for rape accusers is long overdue for retirement."

I typically find Prof. Dershowitz's comments to be compelling; and in this lone instance, I also find Naomi Wolf's compelling.

The American gender-Raunch community have "Empowered" themselves by "perverting the course" of justice around the rape accusation.
The Gender-Raunch Klan mentality is a powerful force.
Something smells fishy about this Kahn case.
And it gets better and thanks for Ferdinand for showing why the US media is still fucking worthless and a joke.
The French (and we are talking about the French) has shown to been better than the USA in 2 things. True justice (with how they deal with arrests) and having a more reliable media.

It seems Ferdinand got the name of the accusser from the French version of Slate. Jeezbel (#1 man-hating site in the world) bitched about it to Slate. So the US editor decided to bend over and agreed not to publish the story in English.
The US brags about how great they are about freedom, justice, and all that bull but when the time is to prove it, they fail each and every time.
Anonymous Accusation does seem very much the sort of thing one hears of out of Stalinist Russia, or perhaps equally a short story by Kakfka.
good for ferdinand and the french media! i too agree with naomi in this case that women should not be shielded. naomi also wrote 'women are not children'. in actuality, they are not kids yet some women often act like them in demanding special treatment.

Jeralyn Merritt and her readers discuss the case: http://www.talkleft.com/story/2011/5/17/212149/249
The argument FOR publishing the name of the accused is to encourage any others with the same claim to come forward.
The argument against publishing the accusers name is the same : it MIGHT shine a spotlight on the accuser, and encourage others to come forward to say "Hey! She's accused before!
...but then, they STILL enjoy rape shield protections - another injustice that MUST be abolished T.O.D.A.Y. I mean like yesterday.
Extremists of any nature are always looking for an excuse to cause new trouble. The accuser is a muslim woman and the accused is a jewish man. In today's inter-connected world, i wonder if this allegation/event will have any violent repercussions in america or abroad as in maybe france or elsewhere.
If violence does occur somewhere, remember that you read about it here first.

while i'm not stating that a rape did or did not occur, it is incredible that a public figure who can afford to spend $3,000 a night of his own money on a hotel suite and therefore could afford the best call girls would allegedly force an average looking maid into having sex.
btw, since the trip was personal not business, dsk supposedly has to pay for the hotel fee on his own.

More information about the accuser personally.
She has AIDS by the look of it.

--- thanks for your comments and alerting us.
"The IMF chief's alleged sex-assault victim lives in a Bronx apartment rented exclusively for adults with HIV or AIDS, The Post has learned."
"The Post has not been able to ascertain whether the maid, 32, has HIV/AIDS because of medical confidentiality laws.
But the agency rents apartments only for adults with the disease."

Irresponsible perverts dominating powerful positions in the United States is the norm Now, not an irregularity.
The unfortunate reality is that main stream media in the United states is so dominated by the "gender-raunch community" who want to control all the missinformation that Americans are exposed to; That one might have to goto french media sourses for any real truth beyond the New york Times "perversion spin".
I wouldn't be at all surprised if this turned out to be just another bullshit case. Our legal system railroads men based on nothing but the word of crazy, non-credible women.
Atlas, I understand the reasoning behind your 11:19, but this matter is NOT about money === it's about power and dominance. Yes, of course he could pay a high-priced hooker, but maybe that's not what turns him on?
What is the age difference between the helpless maid and the "high powered pervert"?
He's like...70 isn't he?
Just sayin'...
anon 7:45,
This matter is currently about an allegation, and not (yet) about money, power, and dominance if it ever is about any of those three. I'm not going to conjecture what does or not turn him on.
If it was about some drive or fetish for power and dominance why would anyone rape a hotel maid which could and did lead to arrest, and possibly confining him in prison with no opportunities for future power and dominance?
I realize it is the feminist mantra that rape is about power and dominance. Sometimes it is simply about an excessively horny alpha attacker.
We simply do not know enough at this time to state much with certainty.

As an American, it pains me to be forced to agree with you. But you're right: we have lost sight of everything we claim to stand for.
Why would ANYBODY rape a hotel maid, much less a man with zero criminal history? That's one of the stupidest things anyone could do. That would be taking an incredible risk, since the only way the rape would go unreported would be for the woman to lie to her employers about why she is so upset.
It seems highly unlikely to me, on the face of it. But who knows? Maybe there's some real evidence supporting this claim. (For once!)

Sorry for the rant. I also live in the USA (Virginia to be precise) but it just angers me seeing this happen all the time. The worst part of it all is they preach to and complain about other countries' so called human rights' abuses when they have the same if not worse abuse going on in their own country. Makes us look like hypocrites.
One of the best example is actually Amanda Knox. Whether you think she is guilty or not, people were whining about what an injustice that happened to her and how there is no evidence she did it and that Italy should let the "poor" girl. (Which isn't true, they had evidence but that's not important to this discussion.) But we are perfectly fine with convicting a person of rape with no evidence whatsoever and just based on an accusation.
It just makes it sad that we have the American Constitution, which is a great document, but the US constantly take a shit on it.

My God, Yes! It's an incredible risk. But that's why men in supreme power do what they do. Why? Because they feel they CAN! DSK doesn't care who is assaulted -- whether it be a hotel maid or a high priced hooker. Men like this feel they are invincible and can screw anyone they damn well please.
