The Chances of Holding Your Son Responsible for a Rape He Didn't Commit Have Just Skyrocketed

Thanks to the great Paul Elam and to the great W.F. Price for publicizing this crucial issue on their mega-blogs: see here and here.

Should be posted on every refrigerator in every home where a teen male thinking of going to college resides.

Not to get off topic, but the latest accusation of rape that fox news is blasting over the airwaves, may just be yet another false rape accusation.
Im sure there are video and security cameras in the airport that will clear this all up.
Folks don't yet realize we now live in a "culture of false rape accusations".

Dr Kanin said one of the main reasons for women making false rape accusations is that they were late for work, or late for something.
Are we gonna let a mob of perverts ruin this mans life, just because the women missed her flight??

I knew these guys would help out. Despite my initial qualms, I have taken quite a liking to Paul's straightforward style. He really does have a voice for men. WF Price is a classy fellow as well. 'Really enjoy his posts too. These guys cannot understand enough how much University men like myself appreciate their help in raising awareness.

I live in the Denver area, so I've been hearing about this one all morning.

Something about the news accounts just don't add up. The woman claims that two airport works observed the "attack", but did nothing about it (making it seem that she made no effort to call out for help), and the alleged attack only stopped after security guards arrived and physically separated the two.

Now, I was going to wait to see how this one would "shake out" before commenting on it, but, since it’s already been brought up that it may well be yet another FRA, I’ll add my speculation.

Like the other poster, I’m quite certain that there is video surveillance through the airport. I’m also fairly certain that the accused man would have been aware of this fact, and would not have chosen to “attack” a woman in an area where it could be readily observed (if he was so able to physically subdue her, he could surely have drug her off to a more secluded area, for instance).

Another question to be asked is if this woman has a husband or boyfriend. If so, this might be another instance of a woman getting caught hooking up with another man, and using a false claim as an alibi. (The fact that the works who supposedly saw this going on chose not to intervene might indicate that they believed that what they saw was two lovers getting hot-n-heavy rather than a forcible rape attempt – just saying…)

Of course, this could be a legitimate case of a guy simply not accepting “No” for an answer, and attempting to use force in order to get sex anyway.

I think a review of video surveillance will be extremely “useful” in regards to this incident. There may be ample evidence to show that he did, indeed attack her. If so, you can expect to here it splashed across the media.

If, however, the videos seem to indicate a consensual “hook-up” (interrupted), such finding might be revealed to the public, but it may also well be that nothing further is mentioned in the news. So, climbing out on a limb here, I’ll venture that if there is no more news of this incident, it’s a safe bet that the video evidence was not supportive a the attempted rape allegation.

That said, I’ll wait to see what information is released (or not) before calling this one an FRA.
