Based on the title, you would think someone was speaking of a person. But "Bar Wench" is the name of the bar.
An alleged rape Saturday night at the Bar Wench, 645 Virginia Ave., was falsely reported to North Bend Police.
When officers responded to the call at 11:45 p.m., it was determined no rape or assault had occurred, Police Chief Steve Scibelli said.
