A Pahrump woman allegedly fabricated a story about being sexually assaulted to conceal her gambling activities, according to the Nye County Sheriff's Office.
Officials recommended to the Nye County District Attorney's Office that Mary Elizabeth Lawrence, 59, be charged in connection with false reports of a crime.
Officials said the incident stemmed from Lawrence's report Friday that she had been kidnapped, sexually assaulted and robbed Thursday night.
As Nye County's Sexual Assault Response Team began investigating and obtained a search warrant, detectives learned Lawrence's story was false, officials said.
Lawrence allegedly admitted to investigators that the sexual assault story was a hoax, meant to hide gambling activities, officials said. None of the described crimes had occurred.

But, at least her motives were published (one of my pet peeves), so that the public can become more aware of just how frivolously women will (and have) employ the "Cry Rape" card.
It clearly shows that FRA's are not just committed by deeply trouble women in desperate situations, but by woman who simply don't want to own-up to their own chosen behaviors.
So whose life was ruined by being falsly accused?

- The lives of women who actually DO get raped. Provided they aren't the kind of folks who say anything willy nilly they just might - reasonably - wonder if they'll be believed.
- The people of the county/district/whatever. Manhours aren't cheap for most any workforce, particularly not police. Somebody's gotta pay the bill for their time and it likely won't be her.
That enough for you or do you require devastating personal stories for every single iniquity out there?
Given:
- False rape accusations are false reports.
- Filing false reports is a crime.
- We should condemn crime.
Thus:
- We should condemn FRAs.
