Woman Recants Story About Sexual Assault, Burglary

On June 10, Calvert County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a business at the Fox Run Professional Center located on Steeple Chase Drive, in Prince Frederick, Calvert County Maryland for the report of a burglary and sexual assault.

During the ongoing investigation, detectives of the Calvert Investigative Team discovered several inconsistencies with the victim’s version of events. Detectives conducted a subsequent interview at which time the victim admitted that this was a false report.

Detectives consulted with the State’s Attorney’s Office and no charges will be filed for the false report due to mitigating circumstances.

This case is officially closed at this time.

So, just what does constitute a "mitigating" circumstance? Being a woman?[/snark]

The poorly composed article is scarce on details - such as, were both the burglary & the sexual assault fabricated (I'm guessing that if one has been robbed, there usually no reason to "dress-up" the complaint with a false sex-assault claim).

Sounds like a cover-up for something else, with the sex-assault claim intend to evoke sympathy and create a "misdirection" so that the police would be looking at the wrong thing.

Still, I cannot understand how a woman fabricating and sex-assault (and, likely, a burglary) escapes charges do to "mitigating" circumstance.

Perhaps I was not so far off when I quipped that it was simply that she is a woman.

PS - to our anti-LE ranting friend, since you don't seem to read th articles before posting, let me do a quick recap.

1) Police come to investigate.

2) Police immediately find discrepancies.

3) Police press complaining witness, and break her story down - getting her to confess.

And, let me also list what there is no sign of here:

* no alliance with feminists
* no manufactured statistics
* no pay-off from the Fed.

So save your self the trouble of pasting in your favorite anti-LE rant - once, again, it doesn't fit with the narrative.

I don't know if SLWerner can do that, but I agree that such posts should be deleted.

No, I'm not. And, frankly, the job of "thought police" is one I'd not relish.

While those comments can be annoying - they certainly have a way of getting under my skin - they really don't rise to the level that has gotten other posts removed.

My own personal choice on how to deal with such issues is to debate them, confronting that which I disagree with, in the hopes that reason and logic will win out, and the offending posts will simply die out. I'd rather change minds than drive people off.

In general, I would agree with you, but this has been going on since before I started reading this blog, and no matter how many times, or how many people, have tried to debate the issue, the same boilerplate nonsense continues to be repeated ad nauseum with no end in sight. Which leads me to believe that reason and logic will never win out, because these incessant monomaniacal comments are not based on facts and reason in the first place.

Not only do I understand your concern, I share it as well.

Hopefully, as more "voices" are raised, asking for those posts to be curtailed, the message will get through to our friend. [Gee, it's sort of like an intervention]

Gentleman, the pain from my false rape accusation is slowly dissipateing, and it is a direct result of the "Voice" that The "blessed, bold, and esteemed men" who run False rape society have given me.
Thank you sir for being patient and allowing me to purge myself of this poisin inside me, of feeling so wronged by a system that i feel has been pervted somewhere along the way.
I do feel that those that have needed to hear the message i reapeat over and over, and over, have Now heard it, and will respectfully temper the amount of postings, but will not just go away.
Thank you.

The monomaniacal commenter here, (and i would coin my comment style as multi-maniacal).

Angry ANON states "and no matter how many times, or how many people, have tried to debate the issue, the same boilerplate nonsense continues to be repeated ad nauseum with no end in sight"
I say, Sir, i do not beleive you have challenged the factual basis of what i'm saying even one little bit.
Question for those that want to silence me..who else here points out the fact that the Gender / Raunch community gets "Empowered" by attacking hetero-sexual males with faulty and inflamatory missinformation?? If other folks were saying it, I would not have to.
So Is wat I'm saying true???
Lets break it down here to see if its true...
a. Is all the inflamatory rhetoric being puked onto college kids accross America by Gender / Raunch proffessors true??
b. Have the Gender / raunch community been "Empowering" themselves by their attacks on heterosexuals??
I do plan on lessening the number of posts, but not because i don't beleive in what I'm saying.

Actually, I have.

slwerner, we all would. But they delete the feminist troll posts don't they? You have to draw the line somewhere.

The trolls come here only to be disruptive - it is their primary intent.

On the other hand, our misguided friend is intent on fighting injustice.

Remember, he IS a victim. His anger is understandable. I just believe that his anger has become, at times, misdirected. His intentions are good, but his method...questionable.

At one point, he remarked that he no longer even blamed the women who had accused him, and instead, put the blame entirely on the police officers who "bungled" his case.

From that point, it seems he constructed the alternate reality wherein all law enforcement have entered into secret treaties with gender-feminists as a means to secure federal dollars by actively encouraging (perhaps, even recruiting) women to make FRA's, thereby manufacturing misleading statistics - which, in turn, could be cashed in with the feds (as a way to re-imagine the police where "behind" the whole thing from the start).

I cannot imagine how difficult it is to have been in his shoes, nor how it might have seemed to him that he'd been set-up. That, unfortunately, has been his private Hell.

My desire would be to re-channel his anger back towards those who set the whole thing in motion - the false accuser(s).

Police will either handle case correctly, or not. But, if no false claim is made, there is no case to "bungle". To state it in a more legalistic way "But for the false claim..."

That sounds fair.
