Sevier woman arrested after false rape report

SEVIERVILLE - Sevier County authorities charged a woman with making a false report that she had been assaulted and raped in her home by an acquaintance.

Susan Wagers was being held this morning in the Sevier County Jail in lieu of a $25,000 bond, according to the Sevier County Sheriff's Office.

Wagers called 911 on July 8 and claimed she had been raped at her home on Willow Creek Lane near Sevierville. Authorities launched an investigation and searched for the alleged suspect in several areas in Sevier County, according to the SCSO.

On July 9, Wagers admitted while being re-interviewed that the rape allegation was false, the Sheriff's Office said in a press release.

More details as they develop online and in Thursday's News Sentinel.

Another piece of garbage in need of a twenty year sentence -- but who will probably get twenty days of probation instead.

What a pathetic system.

Hey wait a minute, my gender feminist proffessor says there is no such thing as a false rape accusation. And when asked about the duke laccrosse case, she said that "something happened there", and its just the patriarchy that is "controlling the media".

A bit off-topic, but, is Susan Elizabeth Wagers the Sue E. Wagers who was implicated with her husband in a murder in KY? (Owen County Couple Charged With The Murder And Assault Of Another Owen County Couple.

Looks like they are advertising for False Rape Accuers to come forward.

I don't know if he did it or didn't but it doesn't seem right to me that they are putting this "ad" in the papers. IMO, it is encouraging lying women to come forward so they can get a conviction on this man.

Why am I not surprised this took place in Tennessee?

Where it is considered a capital crime to question a woman's honor, honesty, integrity, santity, etc.
