Remember the recent scary abduction and assault in Ohio? According to this story: "Lebanon Police are searching for an abductor who snatched a college student from her front yard. Police said the victim was taking out the trash Monday morning in the 600 block of Franklin Road when two men approached her. The victim said they blindfolded and gagged her, tied her up, forced her into a car, and then drove to a wooded area where they assaulted her. There are no descriptions of either the suspects or their vehicle."
We know the abduction was true because, well, the news report dubbed the accuser a "victim."
Well, you can guess what really happened. Here's the updated story:
LEBANON, Ohio -- Twenty-one-year-old Kristen Lamb of Franklin Avenue, accused of making a false rape report, was in court Monday. She is facing misdemeanor counts of inducing panic and making false alarms.
She was granted a court-appointed attorney, and did not enter a plea.
Lamb said she was raped in a wooded area north of her home. But police became suspicious after Lamb could not give specific details about the alleged assault.
Her parents told the judge that she had been though a series of stressful events recently, which included
losing a boyfriend and pressures from college.
But her father admitted she will have to face the consequences for her actions. Lamb is a student at the University of Cincinnati.
Her next court hearing is set for Monday, June 21.
[FRS Comment] - She pled guilty to making a false alarm. That sound you just heard, is my jaw hitting the floor. That was, until I read THIS. It appears that in Ohio, that is a felony in the 5th degree, and she has pled guilty. So any future job she applies for, that asks if she has been convicted of a felony, she has to now answer yes to.

I think that's the least she should get.
Felony conviction sounds great!
Government Misconduct
Some wrongful convictions are caused by honest mistakes. In some cases, however, officials take steps to ensure that a defendant is convicted despite weak evidence or even clear proof of innocence.
The cases of wrongful convictions uncovered by DNA testing are replete with evidence of fraud or misconduct by prosecutors or police departments.
A few bad apples
Most law enforcement officers and prosecutors are honest and trustworthy. But criminal justice is a human endeavor and the possibility for corruption exists. Even if one officer of every thousand is dishonest, wrongful convictions will continue to occur.
DNA exonerations have exposed official misconduct at every level and stage of a criminal investigation. This misconduct has included:
•deliberate suggestiveness in identification procedures
•the withholding of evidence from defense
•the deliberate mishandling, mistreatment or destruction of evidence
•the coercion of false confessions
•the use of unreliable government informants or snitches
Bad Lawyering
The resources of the justice system are often stacked against poor defendants. Matters only become worse when a person is represented by an ineffective, incompetent or overburdened defense lawyer. The failure of overworked lawyers to investigate, call witnesses or prepare for trial has led to the conviction of innocent people. When a defense lawyer doesn’t do his or her job, the defendant suffers. Shrinking funding and access to resources for public defenders and court-appointed attorneys is only making the problem worse.
Asleep on the job
A review of convictions overturned by DNA testing reveals a trail of sleeping, drunk, incompetent and overburdened defense attorneys, at the trial level and on appeal. And this is only the tip of the iceberg. Innocent defendants are convicted or plead guilty in this country with less than adequate defense representation. In the some of the worst cases, lawyers have:
• slept in the courtroom during trial
• been disbarred shortly after finishing a death penalty case
• failed to investigate alibis
• failed to call or consult experts on forensic issues
• failed to show up for hearings
What really amazes me is that a female's first impulse when experiencing what I view as just ordinary stresses in life is to make a false rape complaint. That's probably the worst thing she can think of and something that will get her the most attention and sympathy. In a way this is our fault by blowing rape up to such a major crime and having such draconian penalties for it, many times harsher than for murder. I'm not condoning rape or am I "pro rape" but let's face it, the brutal stanger rapes where a female is really hurt are extremely rare. Aside from the fact that most rape allegations are false, I would imagine that a typical real rape probably just involves a man grabbing some female and she just gives in and let's him do it.
Oh and I wouldn't be too certain that this female will have a felony on her record because after 7 years in many jurisdictions she can apply to have it expunged from the record. This means that in contemplation of law the whole thing never happened and she can answer that she has never been convicted of a crime and in a case like this I can almost guarantee that her motion to expunge will go unopposed by the prosecutor and the judge will sign the expungement order.
You know the more I think about it, Lady Justice must have been some sort of cynical joke and was really representing that there is no justice in this world. She's sort of a composite image of figures that don't really represent justice at all blending Roman blindfolded Fortuna (luck) with Hellenistic Greek Tyche (fate), and sword-carrying Nemesis (vengeance).
Here is the difference between an MRA and a feminist: one supports rights for men, and other supports rites for men.
If it were not for "Rape hysteria" and domestic violence propaganda...how else would the white middle class "Gender / Raunch" community retain their political control??
copycat crime

At the bottom the article states that Kristen Lamb could serve 6 months and/or $1,000 fine. Not enough, imo. Sentencing is August 26th.

At first, I think most are as amazed as are you. But, as one reads of more and more accounts, one thing begins to stand out - crying rape gets attention (and support, and even money) like no other cry for attention can.
The response that we, as a society, have towards rape and it's victims was bound to inspire numerous to attempt to take advantage of our societal compassion for those claiming to have been raped.
When one ponders it more, what should amaze us is that so few women (relatively speaking) have tried the FRA tact to try to deal with their issues in life.
Given the "invitation" that has been so long extend to women, I believe it speaks to the better nature of most women that they do not make such false allegations.
