Jenny Thibodeaux sentenced for false rape report

Two years of supervised probation is a sentence? Seems like a present, not a punishment.

A woman has been sentenced for filing a false police report after she admitted to making up separate rape and armed-robbery claims in Jefferson Davis Parish.

Jenny Thibodeaux of Pierre Part was placed on two years of supervised probation.

Conditions of the probation include serving one year in the parish jail with credit for time served in an inpatient and outpatient treatment facility for gambling and self-esteem.

The charges resulted from her alleged false complaint of a rape in Jennings in November 2008 and an alleged false complaint of armed robbery, which she said occurred 10 months earlier.

Thibodeaux claimed she was the victim of both crimes, which officers spent months investigating.

What are taxpayers to do when law enforcement no longer protect the innocent??

Gambling and self-esteem issues. Why of course! How could anyone miss that she obviously has low self-esteem. By goodness if more women had higher opinions of them selves they would certainly not waste police time nor would they try to claim things happened when they really did not. (Please insert a great dose of sarcasm)

As a falsely accused man, I say this to the legal system: if you're going to give the criminal probation then don't even bother to convict her in the first place. Outride enablement is preferable to this insult.

What a disrespectful attack on the dignity of American men. Why do we put up with this?

That should say 'outright enablement,' sorry.

This will warm your hearts: I copied it from the Louisiana law code. Here is what she would have gotten if she'd stolen a purse:

***
§65.1. Purse snatching

A. Purse snatching is the theft of anything of value contained within a purse or wallet at the time of the theft, from the person of another or which is in the immediate control of another, by use of force, intimidation, or by snatching, but not armed with a dangerous weapon.

B. Whoever commits the crime of purse snatching shall be imprisoned, with or without hard labor, for not less than two years and for not more than twenty years.

Added by Acts 1979, No. 645, §1.
***

Not less than two years. Not probation. Not coddling. That's two years in prison, because unlike innocent men, purses matter.

What a sick, unworthy society this is. And we have the misfortune of living in it.

A man who spent more than three years in jail for a crime he did not commit has described an apology from the police as "too little, too late".

Warren Blackwell was convicted in 1999 of sexual assault, but in 2006 new evidence undermined the credibility of the woman who made the allegation.

etc etc etc

And the whore keeps her anonymity! Incredible.

"Too little too late" is the understatement of the century.

haha

In every psychological study done on prisoners the conclusion was that they all had an inflated sense of self esteem.
These studies done in the general population show that Blacks have the highest self estemm while Asians (Chinese, Japanese etc) have the lowest.
Strange isn't it? The most competent have the lowest self esteem.
I'm also tired of seeing everything(gambling, eating, sex etc etc) labeled an addiction as if that's an excuse for childish behaviour and lack of self control. Medically, an addiction only applies to certain substances(it does not include food, water etc) where the patient has an Uncontrollable compulsion to keep taking the substance. It would only apply to things like opiates and even here not everyone with a physical dependence is an addict.
Gambling and "self esteem" are really a joke and should be no excuse for a person committing a crime.

Anon @ 5.42-no surprise here. A man's reputation is worth less than a purseful of junk.
In the Bible false accusations and character assassination which ruins someone's repution is equated with Murder. I can see now why this is true.

"treatment facility for gambling and self-esteem"? pardon me for being crass but WHAT THE FUCK?! These people don't need rehabilitation or help with their self esteem, they need to be punished for their crimes. Obviously there are some cases of mistaken identity and the myth of eyewitness credibility, but if you make a serious accusation, and there appears to be malicious intent, people need to be punished and deterred

False rape accusers have excessive self-esteem. What they need is to be taught some respect for the rights of others and for the truth.
