Clarksville Police charges woman with lying about sexual assault

A Sunset Drive woman was charged Friday with lying about a sexual assault she said occurred April 10.

According to an arrest warrant filed by Clarksville Police Det. Tina Slaven, Leah Anne-Elizabeth Hall, 19, who gave a 238 Sunset Drive address, went to Gateway Medical Center on April 10 and reported she had been sexually assaulted by a white male in the early morning hours.

On April 14, Hall told Slaven via text message that there had been no sexual assault in the 2300 block of Raleigh Drive.

Hall was charged with filing a false report and held on a $5,000 bond.

Since she went to the medical center, I assume the exam turned up negative. You'd think they would emphasize the physical evidence a little more, not just her word -- which is obviously worthless.

In the "women's state" of Tennessee, I'm shocked the police "violated" her honor, integrity, sanctity and, "right" to lie. (sarcasm).

Does anyone what the incarceration rates for American women compared to the rest of the world are?

Are American women also the most incarcerated in the world (like American men?)

I don't quite know where to begin researching the answer to this...

Anon @ 1:40:
What "exactly" do you "mean" by "women's state" when "speaking" of "Tennessee"?

Anon @ 2:48:
Found some data regarding female prisoners by country that suggests the US ranks #9 with 8.5% of all prisoners. Compare with #1 Thailand at 20.3%.

Exactly what I posted. Tennessee is infamous for giving women the infamous "vagina pass". The state government and law enforcement are intimidated by women.

This is why there is only one state prison for women, while there are about ten for men.

Archivist, something that you might find interesting

Should alleged rapists be protected until proven guilty?

What information would you like me to try to extract?

Anon @ 7:34:
As of March 8, 2010 there were 19,142 males and 1,197 females assigned to TDOC. That works out to ~6.25% of total corrections population which does appear to be lower than the national average cited above.

Did you have any links or references to support the claim of law enforcement and/or state government intimidation by women?

Anon @ 10:10:
I recommend choosing different statistics from the drop down menu of the NationMaster website -- they have loads of interesting data compiled there.

I think I know where anonymous is going. Imagine police officers being falsely accused of rape or sexual assault.
