Comment about news story below: I can think of few false rape scenarios more heinous than the one where a teen male is twice victimized by the same woman: first, when she statutorily rapes him; and second, when she tries to save her own skin by falsely accusing her callow lover of rape. The case below is similar to others we've reported on, only crueler and more heartless. We have made the point on this site that one of the classes of males most susceptible to false rape claims is teen boys who have sex with adult women, and this case ought to be read as a cautionary tale for teen boys.
The reason the case below is especially odious is because after the woman was charged with statutorily raping the boy (who was just 15 ), police say she tried to bribe a 14-year-old girl to falsely cry rape against the young man in exchange for $100, telling the girl it would help her with her court case. The girl at first refused, but after the woman reportedly threatened her, the girl decided to lie. If that lie had its intended effect, it would have sent the young man to prison for many years. Too often on this site we see women and girls willing to sacrifice the life of a male to achieve some selfish goal. The examples of womanhood in this case, both the woman and, to a lesser extent, the girl, are despicable and, unfortunately, play into some awful stereotypes that fuel the engine of misogyny.
Here is the news story:
Woman faces more charges
A woman facing trial later this month for statutory rape of an underage boy is now charged with trying to discredit the victim.
Enchantra Beattie, 37, 221 Peeler St., Granite Quarry, has been charged with felony extortion and felony obstruction of justice. She was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center under $10,000 bond.
Capt. John Sifford of the Rowan County Sheriff's Office said the latest charges came after Beattie accompanied a 14-year-old girl who reported she had been been given alcohol and raped by a 19-year-old on April 1.
During the interview, Beattie mentioned to officers that the teen was the same person she had been charged with having sex with.
Investigator Clint Mauldin took over the case and asked the parents to come with the girl to the Sheriff's Office for an interview.
The girl's parents were unaware of the rape allegation. And during the interview, the girl said the allegations were false.
She told Mauldin that Beattie offered her $100 to make the false report, saying that it would help her out with her court case.
Sifford said the girl at first refused, but Beattie then threatened to report the girl's parents to the Rowan County Department of Social Services, causing them problems.
At that point the girl agreed to tell the rape story.
Sifford said the girl had apparently met Beattie while visiting a friend.
Spencer Police originally charged Beattie with statutory rape more than three years ago. The boy was 15 years old.
That trial is set for April 21 in Rowan County Superior Court.

DISGUSTING. Have you put this up on Reddit Men's Rights?
"The examples of womanhood in this case, both the woman and, to a lesser extent, the girl, are despicable and, unfortunately, play into some awful stereotypes that fuel the engine of misogyny."
Sometimes there is truth in stereotypes.
Anon, that is not entirely fair. If you look at the picture of the accused she is not a woman. I dunno what she is, but she looks like some damn ugly mongrel dog.
I would like to think that no real woman would do something so disgusting and awful. Of course, this is a semi-ironic No True Scotsman type argument.
I think one of the disadvantages of a site like ours is that, by necessity, it presents only picture of both genders. It's easy to subconsciously stereotype after being exposed to so many horror stories. We, of course, think this site is a necessary antidote to the overwhelming crush of messages both on the Internet and in the mainstream media that view false rape claims as a myth. But I must confess, after prolonged exposure to these stories, after a time, I need to come up for air once in a while and remind myself that these stories are not indicative of society, or women, as a whole.
Man, this guy is going to be messed up after all this. Do you think he'll be able to trust women again? Ever?
Pierce, I know exactly what you mean and I am sorry if my comment came across as in some way implying that women in general should be impugned by actions like this. Sometimes it is hard to get across the full meaning and intent in brief online discussions.
My quip about No True Scotsman was more a self-conscious and humorous awareness of the intellectual limitations of the point I was trying to make. But in all sincerity, I get on well with a lot of women in work and various social activities and I know the vast majority of women would never do something so appalling. In that sense, I genuinely believe that no real woman would do such a thing. But intellectual rigour dictates that since the accused is technically a woman, I have to acknowledge it as a No True Scotsman position. Get it?
(BTW: 'some of my best friends are women' is the new version of 'some of my best friends are Jewish' :-). And if you are married to a woman, you can use this in your defence whenever some troll accuses you of being a misogynist. By now, I am rolling on the floor laughing).
Seriously though, the problem I have with being immersed in these issues is not that I start thinking women are evil. The problem is that I still become resentful of all the unfair advantages women have over men. Any group doesn't have to be bad to enjoy too much unfair privilege and for this to create bad feelings in others. It just seems women are freer to be who they really are, for good or bad, while men are much more constrained by societal prejudice and narrow roles.
Hope this makes some sense!
Nick, I certainly didn't think you were making a disparaging statement. Your statement simply gave me an opportunity to state one of the occuapations hazards of what I do here.
"The problem is that I still become resentful of all the unfair advantages women have over men."
I think everyone here (male) feels that same way. But I am certain that if we walked in women's shoes, we'd see things a little differently. My guess is that men, having achieved so much as a class, being more aggressive, not to mention stronger, funnier (I've even heard feminists say that) are intimidating, to some degree, to women. I also suspect that women do feel a pressure with respect to their appearance that men don't feel.
And finally, I'll throw this out knowing it's going to sound politically incorrect in the extreme, but I don't doubt that a fair number of women do wish they had a penis. I will await the howls of outrage, from both sides, but I seriously wonder why this isn't more widely discussed (well, I suspect it's not discussed because it will be perceived as an anti-woman sentiment, even though it's not). Women understand that this organ was made, in large part, for pleasure, and try as they might, they know their comparable organ isn't in the same galaxy. Now here it comes: my suspicion is that resentment over this biological difference accounts for a fair amount of the punitive attitudes toward male sexuality.
By the way, I do not mean to open up Freud or the feminist reaction to Freud or anything else. On a far less complicated level, in a far more obvious manner, there is an intolerance of male sexuality, and this might just stem from a resentment that we enjoy it too much.
Anonymous - "Man, this guy is going to be messed up after all this. Do you think he'll be able to trust women again? Ever?"
Oh come on now! Has Marcella Chester taught you nothing? Don't you realize that women suffer much more acutely than do men? [/snark]
So, to recap; woman rapes boy, then, seeking to help her case, threatens to mess-up the lives of another family if teen-aged daughter of that family won't help the rapist to frame her victim for a crime (which would, as MC declares, be much more acute than her own crime of actual, even if only statutory, rape).
Sounds about right for the rapist-hysterical gender-feminists to line up behind this adult female rapist to hold a protest rally demanding she be exonerated of all charges and set free with her record expunged - and maybe a few million dollars in damages for her horrible mistreatment buy the patriarchy.
Ladies, might I suggest a topless protest? I hear their all the rage...
"If you look at the picture of the accused she is not a woman. I dunno what she is, but she looks like some damn ugly mongrel dog."
Plenty of women look like damn ugly mongrel dogs.
We can't very well only consider the attractive or kind ones to be 'real women', can we?
That would be to LET OFF the nasty and ugly ones!
No, it is REAL women who make false rape accusations, and this fact must be entered into any judgement of women as a whole.

At least the equity feminists had a sense of humor as I had seen on a bumper sticker once: "Equal work for equal pay or an orgasm for an orgasm!"
The gender feminists unfortunately, don't want any of the above: work, pay, or "other."
@ NickS
Frankly, until MOST women are as vehemently opposed to these disgusting liars as we (men) are, then to hell with them... if they are not prepared to pick sides, I'm quite happy to lump them all in the same basket.
The really sick part is yet to come.
Sit back and watch her NOT have to register as a sex offender and get NO jail time.
The woman IS a sexual predator - both the boy and the girl as her victims. There are most likely more victims, as well.
"She's disturbed" isn't going to cut it here.
This woman - and there ARE plenty of female sexual predators - needs jail, therapy, and monitoring.
She is simply put: a predator.
I don't think the charges are adequate. There should be a conspiracy charge added, at least.
I see this stuff time and time again all with the EXACT SAME RESULT.
She WILL get one of two things....
Nothing at all....98% chance
or...2% chance
1-40th or less of the punishment a guy would have for doing the EXACT same thing.
Sit back and watch and make a post after she is sentenced or should I say IF and see if I'm right.
"Plenty of women look like damn ugly mongrel dogs.
We can't very well only consider the attractive or kind ones to be 'real women', can we?"
Er, but yes I can. I can decide who I bestow the honour of being a real woman on and who I don't.
How many times have you heard some woman or feminist say something like 'a real man would do this or that' as part of some shaming tactic?
One of the most enduring features of human nature is that people have some desire to please the opposite sex. Men can use this to their advantage by defining what a real woman is and making it clear we only have time for real women.
Women like to be seen as nurturing, kind and empathetic, even if they often don't really possess these qualities. As men, we can make it clear to women that only women who display these qualities will be acknowledged as real women and treated accordingly. This puts enormous power back in our hands.
I have started putting this into practice with the women I work with and deal with regularly. If a woman displays feminine qualities of being considerate, kind and friendly, I will respond in kind by being considerate, complimentary, walk her to her car if it is dark etc. But if a woman doesn't do those things she immediately loses her status as a woman and is regarded as some weird androgynous creature that has drifted into my orbit.
Likewise, any woman who makes some obtuse feminist-leaning comment about men having things better or some such immediately loses her status as a woman. Real women are considerate and appreciative of the burdens men carry and certainly don't ever come out with that kind of sullen, childish nonsense or any other falsehoods.
Real women can COOK.
I also suspect that women do feel a pressure with respect to their appearance that men don't feel.
Since women get so much more out of their appearance than men do, I'm not sympathetic.
I don't doubt that a fair number of women do wish they had a penis.
I do. Vulnerability to damage and no minute-long orgasms. If there's anything a woman has over a man, it's the sexual experience.
Women also don't suffer from the Paradox of the Penis: if it's too big it's a comic object, but can be considered too small even if it's average size.
Vaginas aren't involved in the punchlines of most comedians' jokes.
Randian, I tend to agree that women focus on their appearance more because the benefits of doing so are greater. It seems that the tragedy of being an unattractive woman or being too old is that you cannot trade solely on your looks, and have to get by through ability and hard work. That is, you are in the same boat as a man.
And women still judge men by their looks to some degree as well. I am tall and better-looking than most guys, and I definitely notice that it makes a difference in dealing with women quite often. The difference is that men are not judged solely according to their appearance, while for a woman if you are good-looking that is basically all you need to get on in life.
The difference is that women tend to judge men both according to their looks and their social position and financial status, while men tend to only judge women by their looks. Men rarely judge women according to their personal success or financial status. How often do you hear men say 'oh no. She doesn't have a good job. She lives with her parents. What a loser! I certainly won't be having anything to do with her!'.
I am tall and better-looking than most guys, and I definitely notice that it makes a difference in dealing with women quite often.
It amazes me how much height, and not attractiveness, determines a woman's reaction to you. Don't get me wrong, it's still better to look like George Clooney, but if he were 5'5" he'd be quite invisible to the ladies despite his superior facial attractiveness.
Then explain Prince.
