Introducing False Rape Strike Force: It's Time To Act
Through a collaboration with other prominent bloggers, we've started False Rape Strike Force because it's time to act to change the climate for the presumptively innocent who, too often, were falsely accused. Our first action alert has been posted: Points With Purpose -- we are urging everyone contact the artist and voice our disapproval, in a civil and reasonable manner, for fomenting a culture where rape accusers are automatically believed. Thank you.

Should we create a chart with a dot for every false accusation?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gRIOSr-w6aU
There is already a design depicting every false rape accusation that has ever been made against a male.
It's called 'The Milky Way Galaxy.'
so let me guess, this blog was started by a man whose sketchy behavior led to rape allegations against him.
It is impossible for a man to behave in such a way as to deserve a false rape accustion. You are clearly a lying feminist whore.
accusing women of lying about rape accusations and calling women whores.. sounds like you boys have a healthy attitude toward women and female sexuality.
You could just as easily said: "Let me guess: this blog was started by a woman whose sketchy behavior caused her to get raped." Same argument; different plumbing.
accusing women of lying about rape accusations and calling women whores.. sounds like you boys have a healthy attitude toward women and female sexuality.
****
Oh, I have no problem at all with women who obey the law and tell the truth, regardless of what they do with their sexuality. And we cover stories about women lying about rape and/or being convicted all the time, so sorry if that bursts your delusion that women always tell the truth about rape. Some women just want attention and/or are on a power trip.
But you already knew that, didn't you?
Crystal Mangum really should have taken you along on her book tour; looks like you have all the snappy answers. Women=good and men=bad; yes ma'am, she heil!
false accusations are so much less of a problem and so much less prevalent than this bitter, twisted person is leading you nerds to believe. i'm sure in the cases where it has happened, it has been devastating. a blog calling women whores or calling all women who face their accusers liars (and whores) hints at a super unhealthy attitude toward women and female sexuality.
if you would like to channel your energies positively and actually promote a positive, safe, and non-judgmental environment for women to report their rapes and sexual assaults (you do know that the vast, vast majority of rape and sexual assault goes unreported, right? and that is largely in part of women being afraid of being called liars and whores and being blamed for their assault, when it is always the fault of the perpetrator !), i suggest checking out an organization like Men Can Stop Rape:
http://www.mencanstoprape.org/
So far we've seen two of the standard feminazi tactics for dealing with falsely accused men:
#1/ "Your false rape accuser must have been telling the truth -- or else why would you be so angry?"
#2/ "You just hate women!"
Next up: degrading sexual comments, of the sort that they love to sue men for.
False rape accusations are a far worse problem than even the gentlemen who run this blog can show. We do not say that all women are whores or that all rape accusers are lying, although obviously rape accusations need to be viewed with extreme skepticism, especially these days.
We do not need a non-judgmental environment in which liars can hurl whatever sprew they want and get away with it. We must hold false rape accusers accountable.
The vast, vasty majority of rapes DO NOT go unreported. That is a feminist myth designed to enable false rape accusations and misandry. But you already knew that.
Now go spin your little web, liar-lover.
if you do not want to give the impression that you hate women, do not use misogynistic slurs, or use the word 'feminazi'- that is some dan quayle-watching-murphy-brown-level shit, there. it's as simple as that. :)
i do not believe that men would devote so much time and energy to this rare occurrence unless there was some personal investment, and i also do not believe that men who have a healthy attitude toward women would be so willfully ignorant of actual documented recorded statistics about rape and sexual assault.
Here is mencanstoprape.org's spew about how you can prevent rapes:
1. Define your own manhood. Consider whether messages about manhood, like “don't take no for an answer” and “be tough” play a role in creating unhealthy and unsafe relationships. Choose what kind of man you want to be.
2. Talk it over. Better communication in sexual situations—listening to the other person, stating desires clearly, and asking when a situation is unclear—will make relationships safer and healthier. Create a space to speak honestly about sex.
3. Understand the ability to consent. Drugs and alcohol can affect people's ability to decide whether they want to be sexual with someone. If a person is “really out of it” and can't give consent, wait until you both are ready to enthusiastically say yes.
4. Get a woman's perspective. Ask women how the fear of rape affects their daily lives and whether they know someone who has been raped. Listen and learn from them about the impact of rape and how to stop it.
5. Ask guys. Ask men how it would feel to be seen as a potential rapist and how they would feel if a woman or girl in their life was sexually assaulted. Learn about the ways sexual violence touches the lives of men.
6. Be aware of pop culture's messages. We are surrounded daily by TV shows, music, magazines, video games, and movies that communicate messages about masculinity and relationships. Don't let images in popular culture dictate your behavior.
7. Choose words carefully. When you use words to put women down, you support the belief that they are less than fully human. It is easier to ignore women's well-being when they are seen as inferior. Choose language that respects women.
8. Speak out. You probably will never see a rape in progress, but you will hear attitudes and see behaviors that degrade women and promote a culture of violence. When your friend tells a joke about rape, say you don't find it funny. Use your voice.
9. Get involved. Join a student group working to prevent violence against women. Or if there isn't a student group, start your own. Men's anti-rape groups are becoming more and more common on college campuses. Make a difference.
10. Show your strength. Don't ever have sex with anyone against their will. Make a pledge to be a man whose strength is used for respect, not for hurting.
****
In other words... 1-10: DON'T RAPE ANYBODY. Their view is that all men are potential rapists and that you need to be brainwashed with feminist doctrine so that you won't rape women.
"The vast, vasty majority of rapes DO NOT go unreported. That is a feminist myth designed to enable false rape accusations and misandry."
you realize this is a fake thing, right? the majority of rapes actually do go unreported. the cdc, rainn, the bureau of justice statistics, etc. have all done studies (among many others) that prove this in a more scientific method than 'some guy on a blog says it's not true'. there is no benefit to making false rape accusations for women as rape accusations often lead to alienation of the victim, judgment of the victim, harassment of the victim, etc. there is also no benefit to promoting 'misandry'.
if you are so willfully ignorant to believe that the cdc and rainn (among many others) are like, feminist conspiracy groups targeting men, i actually don't know what to tell ya.
if you do not want to give the impression that you hate women, do not use misogynistic slurs, or use the word 'feminazi'- that is some dan quayle-watching-murphy-brown-level shit, there. it's as simple as that. :)
i do not believe that men would devote so much time and energy to this rare occurrence unless there was some personal investment, and i also do not believe that men who have a healthy attitude toward women would be so willfully ignorant of actual documented recorded statistics about rape and sexual assault.
***
We have a negative attitude toward false rape accusers. You on the other hand have a positive/denialist stance toward false rape accusers, and the bullshit on your website proves it.
Please bring on the "recorded statistics" about false rape accusations; more lies, more propaganda. But the propaganda doesn't fly here.
And if you don't like being called four letter words, then don't act like one.
"so let me guess, this blog was started by a man whose sketchy behavior led to rape allegations against him."
Incorrect, no rape allegation has ever been made against me.
Did you just accuse me of 'sketchy behavior', though? Thanks for proving why these two blogs exist!
Nice pic by the way!
'some guy on a blog says it's not true'. there is no benefit to making false rape accusations for women as rape accusations often lead to alienation of the victim, judgment of the victim, harassment of the victim, etc. there is also no benefit to promoting 'misandry'.
***
HA HA HA! False rape accusers get attention, sympathy, and the pleasure they get from destroying innocent lives. No benefit my ass! People like you provide the benefit. Why do you think Crystal Mangum did it?
As for the so-called statistics, they are made-up. One in three, one in five, whatever figure you girls want to use you just pull out of your butts, while you pretend that false rape accusations are anything but the epidemic that they so obviously are.
"false accusations are so much less of a problem and so much less prevalent than this bitter, twisted person is leading you nerds to believe."
Nerds, eh?
http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_KScKv75dMQM/S4KstT4xFLI/AAAAAAAAAAM/wKejszA-Oi4/S220/blog.jpg
Roxy, yer in the wrong hut to be passing yer filth and poisin.
Rape hysteria is what empowered the Klu-Klux-Klan, and "Rape hysteria" is what is empowering the gender/ Raunch feminists.
Rape hysteria, and the rapelynching of innocent men/boys will not stand the test of time, and will collapse.
i do hope you really think my picture is nice and you aren't trying to derail the argument by insulting my appearance- because you know what that would make you sound like :)
do you really truly believe that rainn and the cdc are organizations spewing feminist propaganda to keep men down? what would their motivation be?
And no benefit to promoting misandry? Oh geez, yeah, you're right -- except that you get your bullshit legislation passed, your VAWA dollars so that you can work your phony jobs, etc.
No benefit except that you got to warp our society!
"if you do not want to give the impression that you hate women, do not use misogynistic slurs, or use the word 'feminazi'-"
Shush, feminazi. Your weapons are useless against us. We know that 'misogynist' is a meaningless, empty term, which means whatever you want it to.
Nobody is seeking your approval or permission, much less your opinion, Ms Nerd.
seriously, why do you guys think national research thinktanks, government agencies, and non-profit organizations are making things up to malign you? do you also think 9/11 was an inside job and the moon landing was filmed at universal studios?
Well, obviously the first goal is to make rape the central issue, and to create a climate in which rape accusations are automatically believed. Which also involves supporting false rape accusations, unfortunately.
You feminists talk about this all the time: "We need a supportive, non-judgmental environment where women can come forward and be believed." Which is great, if so many of you weren't lying turds.
"i do hope you really think my picture is nice and you aren't trying to derail the argument by insulting my appearance- because you know what that would make you sound like :)"
I'm being totally serious - I got wood right there.
What you don't seem to grasp is that no one here cares about your opinion or approval. I genuinely don't give a shit what you think. We're changing the discourse.
Enabling false Rape accusations is a modern perversion of our legal system.
Break the "Missinformation Alliance" between gender feminists and ouyr law enforcement community, It is not only a perversion, it is unconstitutional.
Hey, Roxy, you've got chutzpah, I'll give you that. This is a serious site dedicated to a serious problem that, quite obviously, is something you know absolutely nothing about. You would do well to spend several weeks exploring the news items and objectively verifiable information contained in this site before you blithely parade your inanity to the world. It might just upset your victim metanarrative, which you clearly need.
We're not going to have you come onto this site and denigrate our readers with your snarky, juvenile blather. We have countless readers who were/are victims of false accusations, and your denigration of their victimization is cruel and triggering.
Your hate speech also speaks poorly of your feminism, of course.
Some of our readers have served time in prison before their false accusers were exposed. One's victimization was profiled in a national television show in the past week.
Just as we wouldn't go onto a rape site and ridicule rape victims, we expect that same courtesy from others. Your ignorance, your lack of manners, are utterly breathtaking.
Judging by your own inane website, which is the literary equivalent of a junkpile, you wouldn't recognize a serious website if it struck you in the keppie, so let's just say you're banned from here and leave it at that.
seriously, why do you guys think national research thinktanks, government agencies, and non-profit organizations are making things up to malign you? do you also think 9/11 was an inside job and the moon landing was filmed at universal studios?
***
No, we think feminist nuts like you are making things up; you and the false rape accusers you nurse directly. But go ahead; make up more bullshit about how we're conspiracy theorists, etc. Making things up is what you people specialize in.
ROXY IS BANNED -- SORRY. DON'T RESPOND TO HER ANY FURTHER.
"seriously, why do you guys think national research thinktanks, government agencies, and non-profit organizations are making things up to malign you? do you also think 9/11 was an inside job and the moon landing was filmed at universal studios?"
Roxy, I am going to assume you are a simpleton rather than indoctrinated.
There is $$$$$ to be made from demonising and imprisoning men.
No joke.
As for moon landing and 9/11, I haven't seen any credible evidence for either being conspiracy theories.
On the other hand, we have amassed plenty of evidence for the false rape epidemic.
That's why the guys who run this site go by the names Archivist. Cause it's an ARCHIVE ... get it? An archive of evidence. An entire ARCHIVE, Roxy!
Awww, I was just getting warmed up.
You got it, Archivist ;)
That is really infuriating how she insists that government-funded research PROVES that false rape accusations don't happen, and that there is a groundswell of unreported sexual assaults.
What a liar!
Sorry, I'm not responding to her; but I can't help but repeat...
What a liar!
The degree of "ALLIANCE" between the gender feminist community and law enforcement, and the subsequent law enforcements willingness to "Manufacture faulty and inflamatory statistics" for them, IS A STAIN ON AMERICAN LAW ENFORCEMENT, A STAIN ON THE PERVERTS WHO ARE ENGAGING IN THIS PERVERSION AN A STAIN ON OUR CONSTITUTION.
LOL! Just like a cockroach, Roxy won't stay down!
You know ... feminists are the last people I think we should be taking advice from, so let's do the opposite of what she recommends, okay guys?
for the men who have been falsely accused, of which i'm sure there are some, my heart truly goes out to you. i do think you could absolutely learn a lesson from your experience and seek therapy that led to a healthy attitude toward women, however. science and statistics are not on your side,
***
The truth is on our side, and that's all we need, feminist whore! Now go off spewing your phony statistics and bullshit, like the pseudo-scientific totalitarian nutjob you are.
"A healthy attitude toward women" is what roxy is suggesting.
What about the guys who think the gender / Raunch culture is turning most women into vile, and vulgar pigs??
LOL!
Archivist, I have to go for a while.
Could you keep an eye on the other blog too ... ?
And no, WE do not need to change OUR attitudes, which are entirely appropriate. People like YOU need to change, and the lies need to end.
No more funding for feminist misandry!
Anon at 3:53: There's a legal word for people like her: "asshole." I am familiar with every major, serious, study on the subject, as is Steve, and it is astounding that she thinks she can pull that one on us. Here's the bottom line: it's bullshit, pure and simple. She's banned, may she rot in hell.
can't keep a good woman down !
Yes, sir, Chef.
Reporting a rape is not brutal at all. Being falsely accused of rape is brutal. Going to jail for doing nothing is brutal.
Going to the womyn's shelter and being treated like a princess is not brutal. Being discriminated against for the rest of your life is brutal. Having to live under a bridge even though you didn't do anything is brutal.
Lady, you don't know the meaning of the words you throw around like so much dirty laundry.
And there is absolutely no evidence that a large number of rapes go unreported.
Wheres our great and benevolent matriarch?? she forgot to answer my question before she left.

rainn, the cdc, etc. have all done studies about underreporting of rape. the UN has even done one. do a google search for "rape reporting statistics" and you will find many organizations who are very clearly not feminist organizations or womens' organizations at all who have done studies that come to the same conclusion.
womens shelters are like homeless shelters. they are not a beauty parlor where your girlfriends get together and sip martinis with you while you gripe about men and chocolate. womens shelters are often underfunded fields of cots without proper money for supplies who often can't even provide women with menstrual pads if they need them. and, that said, most women do not have access to a women's shelter.
to report a rape, you must go to the police, sit through an interrogation, and endure a physical examination which is often painful and always intrusive, which involves your nude body being photographed in a room with a police officer. these are the facts about reporting a rape. you don't call the police and say 'hayyy i've been raped, get my money from kobe bryant so i can go SHOE SHOPPING'.
By way of clarification, the last time the FBI reported on unfounded rape claims was 1996 (it never reported on "false" claims per se), and it found that the prevalence of false claims was 7.5 times higher than for all other crimes. See Dr. Bruce Gross, False Rape Allegations: An Assault on Justice, Annals of the American Psychotherapy Associaton, Dec. 22, 2008. This percentage, by the way, reflected only the claims that the FBI knew were false; the FBI did not suggest that the other 85 percent were actual rapes. Rape claims do not lend themselves to that kind of certainty. Only fiften percent of all such claims result in conviction, so for the vast majority of claims, no one can assert with certainty how many are false.
Every impartial, objective study shows false rape claims are a significant problem. As reported by "False Rape Allegations" by Eugene Kanin, Archives of Sexual Behavior Feb 1994 v23 n1 p81(12), Professor Kanin’s landmark study of a mid-size Midwestern city over the course of nine years found that 41 percent of all rape claims were false. Kanin also studied the police records of two unnamed large state universities and found that in three years, 50 percent of the 64 rapes reported to campus police were determined to be false.” See also, E. Greer, The Truth Behind Legal Dominance Feminism's 'Two Percent False Rape Claim' Figure, 33 Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review 947, a scholarly law review article that traced the two percent false rape canard to its unreliable source.
In addition, a landmark Air Force study in 1985 studied 556 rape allegations. It found that 27% of the accusers recanted, and an independent evaluation revealed a false accusation rate of 60%. McDowell, Charles P., Ph.D. “False Allegations.” Forensic Science Digest, (publication of the U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations), Vol. 11, No. 4 (December 1985), p. 64.
See also, "Until Proven Innocent," the widely praised (praised even by the New York Times, which the book skewers -- as well as almost every other major U.S. news source) and painstaking study of the Duke Lacrosse non-rape case. Authors Stuart Taylor and Professor K.C. Johnson explain that the exact number of false claims is elusive but "[t]he standard assertion by feminists that only 2 percent" or sexual assault claims "are false, which traces to Susan Brownmiller's 1975 book 'Against Our Will,' is without empirical foundation and belied by a wealth of empirical data. These data suggest that at least 9 percent and probably closer to half" of all sexual assault claims "are false . . . ." (Page 374.)
In short, every objective study ever conducted on the prevalence of false rape claims reveals that they are a significant problem. By any measure, denigrating the experience of the wrongly accused by dismissing their victimization as a myth or as unworthy of our discussion, much less our protection, is not merely dishonest but morally grotesque.
Let's review her claims:
-The victims of false accusations need counseling so they can overcome their anger at women, since 'science is not on your side.'
-Tons and tons and tons of rapes go unreported, and government-funded studies prove it!
-Anyone who thinks that false rape accusations is a serious problem is a conspiracy nut akin to those who claim that 9/11 was an inside job or that we never landed on the moon.
-When men are falsely accused of rape it's because of their 'sketchy behavior.'
Pretty typical feminazi drivel.
The gender feminist perversion of our United States is deep, and the Academia that "manufactures the perversion" will be held accounteable...It's just a matter of when??
P.S. I'm moderating comments, and Roxy is banned. She wants to talk about RAINN, for goodness sakes.
Organizations such as NOW and RAINN rely on the U.S. Department of Justice's National Crime Victimization Survey to insist that rape is rampant and largely underreported. What those organizations do not publicize is that this survey, conducted by in-person and telephone interviews, defines rape as follows: "Forced sexual intercourse including both psychological coercion as well as physical force. . . . Includes attempted rapes . . . Attempted rape includes verbal threats of rape." (Emphasis supplied.)
You need to scroll to page 131 out of 133 to find that definition.
Putting aside other problems with the definition, "psychological coercion," of course, can mean all manner of things, including "I'll take your mother to the doctors tomorrow if you make love to me tonight," but none of it is rape in a legal, or for that matter, in any logical sense. Under such definition, most adults in a committed relationship have been raped by their long-term lovers, likely on multiple occasions, and most persons are rapists. We couldn't build enough prisons to house the rapists if this definition, which is almost unfathomably absurd, were adopted. The fact that the United States government would bow to gender politicization by engorging the definition of rape beyond all recognition in this manner should outrage all fair-minded citizens.
Roxy, just go -- please.
And let's remember the point of her silly website: that all men are potential rapists who need to be taught a new sense of manhood, so that they won't commit rape.
"Men can prevent rape!" means "let us help you so that the accident of being born a man doesn't cause you to rape, since that's what all men naturally want to do." It's garbage.
Just a quick look at the recidivism stats for rape show that the vast majority of rapists are involved in other crimes; rape is not a crime that "comes naturally" to men in general. And that IS mentioned on RAINN and some of the other websites that dork mentioned.
So her claims about a vast pool of unreported rapes depands on greatly expanding the definition of rape and sexual assault, and also includes attempted rapes and sexual assaults.
How this is supposed to rationalize false rape accusations is beyond me, but there you go.
Thanks for banning the femmorhoid ...
Now that I think of it, there must be a vast, vast unreported pool of false accusations, if you include every accusation that never made it to the police, women lying about men regarding things other than rape, etc.
I think this proves that we need (through the legal system!) to get medieval on false rape accusers.
"You probably will never see a rape in progress"
I haven't, but I have heard many false rape accusations in progress.
I enjoyed being accused of being a conspiracy nut, for thinking that feminists want to keep men down.
I mean, it's not as if feminism is a quasi-Marxist ideology promoting perpetual class warfare and revenge against men. S.C.U.M., Red Stockings, etc.
Oh -- and her claim that false rape accusations are less of a problem than we, the falsely accused, think? False rape accusations are a hundred times more damaging to the victim than a rape. Anyone who suggests otherwise is a liar.
This is a little off topic, but I'll post this, since Thelma from "Scooby Doo" brought up feminist rape statistics:
http://www.washingtoncitypaper.com/blogs/sexist/2010/01/14/rape-victims-vs-prison-rape-victims/
That is about boys being raped in juvenile prisons. Firstly, I largely agree with the article; jokes about prison rape are dumb, it isn't okay for inmates to be raped, etc. Obviously falsely accused men don't care much for prison rape!
However, here is the worm on the hook:
***
I recently headed over to the Web site for Just Detention International (formerly Stop Prison Rape) in order to learn more about this sad study reporting high rates of sexual assaults against juvenile detainees in the U.S. (Short version: one-in-eight detained youth report being sexually assaulted within their facility within the past year; 80 percent of these victims were abused by a member of the facility’s staff).
***
The claim is that one in eight juveniles are sexually assaulted in custody, and that 80% of them were abused by staff members.
80%! Now come on, let's use some common sense here. Do you think that maybe these kids are lying to get back at staff members? Obviously many if not most of these accusations are completely false, and that throws the 1 in 8 stat out the window.
The same goes for the 1 in 5 canard. Just asking people at random if they were raped is not a reliable means of determining anything. People can and do lie, and quite often.
"Thelma from "Scooby Doo" brought up feminist rape statistics"
That's horribly unfair, even to a fictitious character. Thelma was smart, and solved crimes based on facts and reason. Even the Great Dane on that show demonstrated more common sense than that Roxy troll.
I apologize to Thelma, who would probably sleuth out a false rape accusations quicker than we could, and still have time to read a stack of books before getting back to us about it.
One other thing: the troll mentioned our anger, and how we should go get therapy to correct our attitudes "towards women" (actually toward false rape accusers).
But if we all just go get counseling and overcome our anger then nothing will ever get done about this. We need to help men to become more angry about these issues, not less; although we obviously must reject violence.
Snark,
Done. I have made 2 posts over there under the handle Wolfboy69. Anyone who is interested, let me know, and I'll post what has been written. Or, head on over and look under the arod99k's post and my discussion with ducttapedrose
All of this goes right to the heart of a free society: the rights and dignity of each citizen.
"Free society" could almost be defined as "A society in which accusations against an individual are not believed without proof." For examples of the opposite, look at the Soviet Union under Stalin, where anybody could be taken down by a liar/snitch making accusations of treason. When it comes to sex, our society isn't much better than a totalitarian state in a number of key respects. America certainly does incarcerate more men on groundless rape charges than any other country on the face of the planet.
I noticed that "Ducttapedrose" openly expresses her confusion about the difference between truth and lies, right and wrong; apparently she thinks it's perfectly acceptable to lie if your warped little heart tells you so.
She's a freak!
Sorry if I'm preempting by posting this, but...
***
There's truth and lies in everything. You have a choice in this world. You can choose to believe people, or you can choose to be cautious. Neither one is wrong or right. I chose to believe that people tell the truth. I personally would rather believe a liar than not believe someone who needs me. Is there a chance that people are lying? Yes. There's always a chance. People lie. That's a fact. But I can't change that. All I can do is my best.
(ZOOM in on epic fail)
I personally would rather believe a liar than not believe someone who needs me.
WRONG LIAR! YOU LOSE
You know, I am really, really getting sick of feminazis raising the false spectre of unreported rapes as a way of rationalizing false rape accusations.
If you can't bother to report being raped then FUCK YOU. That CHOICE in no way negates the RIGHT of innocent men to be free from false accusations, and to see their abusers serve an appropriate sentence for their crimes.
I don't want to feed the troll too much, but I love it when they bring up the claim that 'most rapes go unreported' (which I have no doubt is true).
Yes Virginia, and 100% of false allegations ARE reported. So tell me genius, what does that say about the proportion of reported rape allegations that are actually true?
To illustrate the point simply. Suppose 4 rapes occur for every 1 false rape allegation. But then suppose that only 1 in 4 actual rapes are reported. Then 50% of reported allegations would be false. The smaller the ratio of actual rapes reported, the greater the ratio of false rape claims reported to true rape claims reported.
Of course, most feminists cannot work these things out because it requires basic logic and reasoning abilities. And as they teach in the Womens Studies classes, logic and empirical reasoning are male constructs designed to suppress women's voice.
"If you can't bother to report being raped then FUCK YOU."
Eminently sensible! Let's throw genuine rape victims under the bus all because we can't help but take the bait whenever some feminist troll decides to go fishing!
I am sure that a lot of women who are genuine victims or rape or harassment or something similar are often afraid to come forward.
The problem is that women who are drama queens and would cry rape at the drop of a hat have no such inhibitions, and thus end up accounting for a large proportion of allegations. The two groups (unreported assaults and false accusers) are largely two entirely separate sub-groups of women.
Angry Harry's Video on Understanding Rape Statistics http://www.youtube.com/watch?gl=GB&hl=en-GB&v=RliMu2JxVr0
Good video to watch for those who are or will be writing on the subject.
I don't think ducttaperose is a freak, she just sounds like she has a limited understanding of the reality of the situation. I think I have given her some things to think about.
And of course, our old resident friend, GeorgiaGirl has showed up again, over there. Now she is claiming that "The rapists who flock to your site are in denial."
So, Scott, AFOR, etc. how does it feel to be called a rapist? I would ask that please, everyone who has ever been falsely accused of rape, please head on over to that site and leave a comment. Be respectful, but don't hesitate to have your say.
Thanks.
The main reason a woman would not come forward with a true rape accusation is she is either ashamed of her own part in the situation, or has something personal to hide -
in otherwords, she cannot have her cake and eat it too - to expose the rapist would expose herself as well - so she chooses to keep quiet.
It has NOTHING to do with not being coddled or 'nurtured' as a victim.
I dropped a person line to Mr. Celebrity Artist:
Dear Mr. Ilan. If you are ever accused of rape, I promise to deferr to your Constitutional due process right to 'innocent until proven guilty'.
As a woman, I guess I should thank you for bestowing magical powers of truthfulness, morality, and honesty upon me whether I earned those things or not.
As a person who IS truthful, honest and moral by considered effort, however, I feel I must tell you - not all us FEMALES actually have earned or deserve such unquestioned attributes.
Perhaps after you've finished your beautiful dotted portrait of victim/saints, you may want to view the "withoutsanctuary' website, featuring the lynched and charred bodies of those unfortunate men who's accusers were automatically believed.
Or the innocent men being raped in prison or living on the streets because of a false accusation.
Sincerely -

I was kicked off facebook recently for posting an 'objectional' comment about false accusations.
My comment? "Each and everyone one of you are just one false accusation away from being a sex offender yourself".
Let me start off by saying that I’ve only been reading this blog for a few days, and so cannot be said to be speaking for anyone but myself in this post. Also, I’ve only read the first twenty or so comments on this post, so this may be redundant. Not only that, but my knowledge of the actual statistics regarding both rape and false rape allegations is limited, at best.
However, my knowledge of human nature is fairly comprehensive, and so I will be making my argument from that perspective. If that is not satisfactory, you are free to ignore me and anything I say.
Most people, when deciding on a course of action, do a basic cost-benefit analysis. That is to say, they weigh, “What is the chance of this failing, and if it does what do I lose?” against, “What is the chance of this succeeding, and if it does what do I gain?” If something seems beneficial, they’re probably going to do it.
Of course, in certain matters, they must also factor in their personal, social, moral, and ethical compass. In these cases, they may refrain from doing something beneficial because they believe, for whatever reason, it would be unjust to do so.
This brings us to the subject at hand, “False Rape Allegations”, or “FRA” for short. Over the last several decades, the laws (and indeed, the culture) in the United States and elsewhere have been re-written in such a way as to make it easier for rape victims to come forward. Unfortunately, they’ve also made it so an FRA is far more likely to succeed, and result in little to no negative consequences if it fails. This means people are more likely to make them.
Now, this isn’t to say all, or even most, allegations of rape are false. Fortunately, most people’s personal, social, ethical and moral compass is strong enough to prevent that. But not everybody’s.
On the other hand, rapists are so vilified in our society that there is almost no benefit to taking such an action. This means people are less likely to commit such a crime. Not only that, rape is such a heinous crime that even the weakest of personal, social, ethical, and moral compasses is enough to keep people from so much as considering it.
Again, this isn’t to say rape doesn’t happen. It’s simply limited to the vast minority of the population.
All things considered, I’d say the best course of action is to simply treat someone accused of rape the same way one would treat someone accused of any other crime; By presuming their innocence until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
I think your time is better spent leaving comments on MAJOR news sites like cnn msnbc fox abc cbs and oprah and other sites that trash Men daily that millions of people read.
This way you get your message out there a lot better.

This will happen, Anon.
After weeks of debate, state lawmakers agreed in March to allot $45.7 million for an expansion of the Moose Lake facility that officials say is vital for treatment. It will allow the program to keep pace with Minnesota's growing population of people under civil commitment. Taxpayers will have to spend more in two years, and at regular intervals afterward, to stay at that pace.
As the expansion gets underway, advocates for the offenders are questioning the treatment program's true purpose -- and the conditions under which the patients are kept. The ACLU of Minnesota represents men at Moose Lake who allege it is more like a prison than a treatment center.
The Moose Lake facility houses more than 400 men who have completed sentences for sex crimes. Each man costs the state $328 a day.

OK. Here we have 400 "worst of the worst" in the great state of Minnesota, alone.
400 Ted Bundys, John Wayne Gacys, and Jeffrey Dahmers?
Have the crime rates of Minnesota dropped dramatically and drastically since locking these men up FOREVER?
I thought such 'monsters' were RARE! Here in Minnesota - at GREAT public cost - 400 are permanently corraled behind razorwire, with more to come.
Something tells me the MEN of Minnesota better get a clue, before they find themselves forever locked away.
Anon,
400 out of a population of how many, over the course of how many years? They are RARE. This site has been around for roughly 2 years, and we have run more stories of false rape accusations in that time, than those 400 over the course of what, 30-40 years? So based on that, what is more rare?
HaudNomen,
Excellent reasoning. You are absolutely correct. With the weakening of the rape laws, we have seen a marked increase in FRA's. And it will only get worse, sadly. Thank you for stopping by, and sharing your thoughts.
"I don't want to feed the troll too much, but I love it when they bring up the claim that 'most rapes go unreported' (which I have no doubt is true)."
I doubt that it is true because there is no evidence to support such a claim.
""If you can't bother to report being raped then FUCK YOU."
Eminently sensible! Let's throw genuine rape victims under the bus all because we can't help but take the bait whenever some feminist troll decides to go fishing!"
I don't think that anyone was suggesting that genuine rape victims should be thrown under the bus. However, if women who are actually raped don't report it, then whose fault is that? For all their irrational hatred against men, feminists don't seem the least bit annoyed at women who let rapists get away.
The rate of underreporting is impossible to discern because the entire field has become so politicized that the truth has been held hostage to ideology. Here's the reality: for the majority of claims that are actually reported to police, no one can really say if they were actual rapes. The same would be true to claims informally reported to pollsters and artists. There is no serious dispute about that. Therefore, to posit a percentage and assert with reasonable certainty that it represents the number of unreported claims is outright dishonest. It is made up.
And to posit that RAINN and the CDC have done their own rape studies as the Roxy troll did, well, in my comment above, I noted that RAINN relied upon a faulty group of stats that includes as "rape" conduct that is not rape. Please also note that the CDC calls it a "myth" that women often make false rape claims -- and it cites, among other things: Brownmiller S. Against our will. Yep. The old two percent canard that has been debunked but that stays with us like a bad meal.
RAINN also makes it clear that when they say 1 in 5, they are referring to sexual assaults -- a very broad category of crime -- not specifically rapes.
To their credit, they also mention that the vast majority of rapists are common criminals, not serial rapists who are likely to commit more than one rape.
I thought such 'monsters' were RARE! Here in Minnesota - at GREAT public cost - 400 are permanently corraled behind razorwire, with more to come.

Yeah, not that this reminds of Hitler or anything.
This is from that Points With Purpose website:

What was the worst part?
Being violated, not really being in my body during sex, or never being respeted? One would think so, but I was so numb I didn't feel those things. I took myself into the police station, to my misfortune a few months after one incident, and reported a male who raped me. The story had to be retold, emotions laid on the table. After everything was done, the detective look straight at me and told me that she had been working with sexual assualt for over 20 years and can tell people are lying. She claimed she knew I was lying. A person who used to be a friend witnessed that rape. The morning after she encouraged me to go to the hospital, but yet she told the detective I told him yes.
After everything else in past, I finally got the courage to take a stand for myself and say that what was done to me was wrong. What I heard that day was the worst part of it all. Through my husband I am able to be in my mind during sex, and I actually am starting to really enjoy sex. But deep inside of me I honestly do not believe that I would have the ability to report another rape.
It is no wonder so many rapists, sexual molesters, and other sexual predators roam about society with punishment.
**
Well ma'am, that's because you're a false rape accuser -- and I really don't want to make this process any easier for liars!
Steven,
Thank you for the compliment.
Truth be told, my previous comment was directed at roxy. I'd already posted it before I realized she'd been banned.
Ah well, hopefully she read it anyway. It always saddens me to see so much anger and hatred in one person.
Anon at 3:59, RAINN (and NOW) rely on the U.S. Department of Justice's National Crime Victimization Survey to insist that rape is rampant and largely underreported. What those organizations do not publicize is that this survey, conducted by in-person and telephone interviews, defines rape as follows: "Forced sexual intercourse including both psychological coercion as well as physical force. . . . Includes attempted rapes . . . Attempted rape includes verbal threats of rape." (Emphasis supplied.) You need to scroll to page 131 out of 133 to find that definition.
What does this tell us? That our own government is deep in the business of gender politics and is willing to engorge the definition of rape to include garden variety sexual encounters. RAINN readily buys into it, and that is to its discredit.
Haudnomen, we've frequently written here about how the rape laws were "modernized" to classify more and more conduct as rape, which enabled more and more women to come forward and report rape -- and false rape claims. We made it easy to lie about rape, but we never bothered to consider what we should do if women abused that new power. We see the results of that failure with the false rape epidemic.
Scroll back through the posts -- there are probably 15 or more this year, and it's the single most important thing we write about here.
"Scroll back through the posts -- there are probably 15 or more this year, and it's the single most important thing we write about here."
Yes, it is.
It is the single most important thing, in the wider sense.
The battle over linguistic usage is the real battle. All else depends on this, and this fact is not only confined to the term 'rape'. It applies to all related terms in the linguistic field in which the politicised entities 'man' and 'woman' meet - 'abuse', 'predator', 'family', and so on. This ALL depends on semantics/linguistics.
As you may have guessed, I have been doing some reading outside of my usual interests.
My tunnel vision is clearing. It is becoming clear that the battles which have been fought between various groups/classes, throughout history, have always been accompanied by contestation over the meanings of words: and the groups and audiences in question have more often than not, been conscious of this, conscious of what we now refer to as 'Newspeak'. Orwell's ideas about language appear novel, and perhaps he was articulating them in a way that had not been done prior, but the experiences of so many historical actors and groups, even the illiterate, would self-consciously acknowledge them.
To win, we must win the battle of words and their meanings.
The process by which feminists have succeeded in punishing so many innocent men, is through their control over the meaning of words such as 'rape'. There has been NO OPPOSITION to their extension of this term to absolutely ludicrous extremes.
This is why it is crucial that the discourse be interrupted and shifted.
If verbal threats of rape = rape, does that mean that when inmates threaten to rape an innocent man who's in jail because of a liar, that he was raped because of her? Shouldn't she then be charged with rape?
I know, that may be stretching it -- but is that any more of a stretch than these "statistics?"
I googled the population of Minnesota.
It's close to 5 mil.
400 out of 5 million may seem "rare", but some of the crimes committed by these 'worst of the worst" are no more serious than failure to register.
One example was a man who had "forced sex"( it wasn't called rape for whatever reason) with an adult woman, and a few year later a teenaged girl. He then went to prison for failure to register, and will forever remain.
He sounds like a bad guy, for sure. But to lock away @ $330. bucks a day - for the rest of his life (he's in his early 30's)?
The facility has been around since the '90's, and NO ONE has ever 'graduated'.
We're back to the good old days, when a noble could get the king to sign a letter and have you locked up for twenty years with no legal process whatsoever.
In the united states don't forget that we are the biggest prison state out of any country in the world.
Even though they call this the land of the free!
We have more people in prison here per capita than any other country in the world and 93-94% of them are MALE.
"Please also note that the CDC calls it a "myth" that women often make false rape claims -- and it cites, among other things: Brownmiller S. Against our will."
That's horribly unscientific for a medical organization. And why would they have anything to do with rape in the first place?? Rape isn't a disease.
"the U.S. Department of Justice's National Crime Victimization Survey"
As far as I remember, the NCVS was started by a feminist organization based in the Southwest somewhere, but was later adopted by the federal government, and is currently conducted by the Census Bureau. While there is some interdepartmental cooperation, attributing it to the DOJ, or considering it a justice statistic is misleading. As you note, it's not based on data from the criminal justice system such as police reports. Rather, it's a poll, and like any poll it depends on the honesty and interpretation of its participants. While these participants are supposedly selected at random, they can also refuse to answer, making the NCVS somewhat of a self-selected opinion poll, or SLOP survey. So even ignoring the definitions and questions used, since it's margin of sampling error cannot be estimated, its results cannot be considered accurate just from a mathematical perspective.
"What does this tell us? That our own government is deep in the business of gender politics and is willing to engorge the definition of rape to include garden variety sexual encounters."
I agree, and it is very troubling.
There's another aspect of False Rape Accusations, and any other incidents where the innocent are charged or convicted, that leads directly to the nation's pocket.
The judicial system has a job to do like any other industry. If it is routinely jailing the innocent, then it's not doing it's job. It gives the very strong impression that Americans don't care so much about getting a job done right, but about getting it done and finished with quickly.
Would you want to buy products from a country where quality came second to throughput? I wouldn't.
It would be interesting to know what the False Rape Accusation figures were like in countries that have reputations for precision and pride in their work - Germany and Switzerland are the first that come to mind.
Anon at 8:12: ". . . it's a poll, and like any poll it depends on the honesty and interpretation of its participants."
On polling: With rape claims made to police, we are reasonably certain some of the claims were actually rapes and that some were false claims. Most claims, however, fall in the vast, middle gray area that don't allow a conclusion either way with any degree of certainty (and I've demonstrated this very point on this site using actual police data).
Even for rape claims that actually get as far as trial (which claims, on AVERAGE, are more likely to be actual rape claims than those rape claims dismissed earlier) but that result in "not guilty" verdicts, would anyone insist it is reasonably certain that those claims were actual rapes? I don't think so. Most people would likely say, at most, we just don't know.
So,why do people think that informal reporting to a pollster is any different? Polls, in fact, are less reliable in some respects because the claims are not subjected to any investigation or any objective assessment of the merits of the acccused's position (heaven forbid we should actually think there might be two sides to the story!). Moreover, polls in this area are notorious for defining rape more broadly than the law.
We do not automatically count every rape claim made to police as an actual rape, for good reason. For the vast majority, we can't honestly say one way or the other (and to be honest, the most trustworthy studies in this area put false rape claims in the 50% vicinity). Why, on earth, do we assume every "rape" reported to a pollster was an actual rape? That is dishonest, and stupid.

Do you NOT buy products from China?
As an entire nation we continue to buy horribly inferior products from China, even though our children have lead paint used on their toys, and our dogs have been poisoned by melamine...need I mention Chinese sheetrock!
We Americans have forsaken our own industry standards to buy ANYTHING as long as it's cheap, convient, and in our faces.

It depends on how certain one needs to be. While there is some accounting when cases are dropped, there is much less data why cases are dropped. Regardless, since we know that -- contrary to feminist claims -- prosecutors want to convict rapists, it is reasonable to assume that cases would not be dropped without sufficient cause.
"Moreover, polls in this area are notorious for defining rape more broadly than the law."
Imho, that's the biggest problem. Also, there are aren't any questions about having been falsely accused.
"We do not automatically count every rape claim made to police as an actual rape, for good reason."
Another problem is that a large number of claims are not counted at all under the current system. It's designed to count the number of rapes, not the number of accusations. Nor is any specific effort currently being made to count false rape accusations, so any numbers trying to count that crime have to be extracted from the data collected to count a different crime.
"For the vast majority, we can't honestly say one way or the other (and to be honest, the most trustworthy studies in this area put false rape claims in the 50% vicinity). "
Except those studies are based on the number of rape accusers that recant. And as we've seen on this site, a significant number of false rape accusers don't recant, even after being shown evidence proving they lied.
"Why, on earth, do we assume every "rape" reported to a pollster was an actual rape? That is dishonest, and stupid."
Yes, it is.
"We Americans have forsaken our own industry standards to buy ANYTHING as long as it's cheap, convient, and in our faces."
Cheap, convenient and in our faces and violates standards -- it sounds like a false rape claim to me.
If you poll a group of women and 1 in 5 of them claims to have been sexually assaulted, that probably just means that 1 in 5 women hate men and want to get back at them.
Similarly, polling of juvenile inmates has revealed that many of them are sexually abused -- and 80% of the time, it's done by staff, not by another inmate! Obviously the inmates making those claims are making it up, for the most part. How many prison guards are going to touch an inmate without using a ten foot pole?
Unless you have been falsely accused of rape, you have no idea. I would never wish on anyone what I went through. Pure EVIL!! I can only hope the laws change and become retroactive. At some point justice needs to be served. At a minimum the accused should be named and blamed to stop that person from doing it again. Is their a website that allows a person to be named? I have a name I would like to add.
