Penn State 'victim' lied about rape

So glad there wasn't a real crime in connection with this false rape claim.  Whew. What a relief.

University Police: Alleged rape on campus did not happen

University Park, Pa. -- Penn State University Police report that a recent victim's account of an alleged rape on the north side of the Lubert Building turned out to be false. After a thorough investigation and further interviews with the victim, University Police determined that the March 1 incident did not occur.

"Our preliminary investigation turned up no evidence that a crime had occurred. As the investigation progressed, the victim admitted to investigators that the incident did not happen as it was initially described," said Steve Shelow, Director of University Police. "Sexual assaults and rapes committed by strangers are unusual occurrences in our community and we can all take comfort in the fact that this particular incident did not take place."

After learning of the alleged incident on March 1, the University immediately sent out an advisory to the community, asking for help in solving the reported crime and urging community members to use caution.

"Our primary focus is always on the safety of our community members,” Shelow said. "While the details of this incident differ from those originally reported, this does not diminish the seriousness of the crime of rape. Sexual assault and rape affects the safety and trust of all of our community members and Penn State is committed to responding quickly and effectively to all reports of this type."

Surely the false accusation itself is a real crime, even if no individual is falsely identified and punished for it.

I believe it affects the safety and trust of those who could have been identified as the rapist in this case-the men who live in that community.

Well, my Oh my!

Could it get any better than to have this incident juxtaposed to the previous topic! That ridiculous feminist screed is complete undone by such a plain and irrefutable example of how police do take each and every claim of sexual assault or rape extremely serious. Like so many other examples detailed on this site in the last year regarding FRA's on college campuses, This add to the overwhelming mountain of evidence that rape claims are virtual never rejected out-of-hand by law enforcement.

Even if we were to suspend our collective (and well founded) disbelief of Jaclyn Friedman's account, and were to take her story as entirely true, and also that her perceptions of of LE's response to rape claims were correct, we'd still be left with the fact that her account is nearly two decades old.

Much has changed in the past 18 years, and that "apparently" includes the way LE responds to reports of sex crimes on college campuses. Today, we see all but full lock-down mode anytime a college women cries rape - real or not.

What hasn't changed is that young women still behave every bit as bad, if not worse, that they did 18 years ago. Thus, many of them still need excuses for their behaviors (as opposed to taking responsibilities as adults for themselves), and, as everyone well knows, a rape claim is the perfect combination sympathy, attention, and casting all blame onto someone else.

Far from Friedman's imagined past when women who'd been raped were forced into silence, in the reality that is college campuses today, the deck is so hugely stacked in favor of any and all sex assault claims - the assurance that they will be believed, that punishment to any named male will be swift and sure (even if unjust), that support (ranging from counseling to financial considerations, and even being exempt from the rigors of being graded in their coursework) is readily available; what is truly amazing is that there aren't substantially more such claims.

Of course, we do see Jaclyn Friedman advocating for more claims to be made, and more money made available on a gender-discriminatory basis. The best off-set to this is to ensure that all claims get a thorough investigation, as we see occurring in the lead story here. And, of course, to begin to adequately punish those who do pervert the system with self-serving false claims so as to selectively disincentivize the false ones.

Then, the only fear young women making rape claims will need to fear is that the one that are false will be found out.

Then the gripes of Jaclyn Friedman and her ilk will be reduced to complaining the women can no longer lie, and still expect to profit and escape consequences for doing so. Oh, the misogynistic horror![/snark]

I know this is a point you have raised before, but it is worth repeating - ad-infinitum.

"After a thorough investigation and further interviews with the victim, University Police determined that the March 1 incident did not occur."

Perhaps this should read:

"the alledged victim", or
"the self-proclaimed victim", or
"the false-accuser", or
"the criminal"

WHAT???!!!

Just a minute here, when I was in college I was taught that a woman would never ever, ever, ever lie about rape! Ever!

They lied to me!

As president johnson said after the infamous "scottsboro boys" false rape case...
The false rape accusation hysteria that lynches the black man now, if left un-challenged...will lynch all men.
Are our courts so dominated by eunech/ perverts who are too deviant to be men of the law??

A rape didn't happen, but a crime worse than rape happened: namely a false rape accusation.

Which is far worse than just a rape, since the consequences for the victim are far worse, and injure him much more permanently and pervasively.

Gender feminist perversion of our legal system has rendered the truth "irrelevant".
There are enough folks who are disgusted with gender feminism and their agenda..that they will sooner or later attack the roots of the perversion..which is now the gender feminist/ law enforcement manufactured statistics ALLIANCE!!
