A TEENAGER has appeared in court charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice by making a false rape claim.
Kirstie Hodgson, 18, of Wellington Street, Middlesbrough, appeared before Teesside Magistrates Court yesterday where the case was transferred to the crown court.
She is alleged to have reported the fictitious crime between October 18 and 25, this year.
Hodgson, who is yet to enter a plea, was unconditionally bailed to appear at Teesside Crown Court on Thursday, December 10.

Kirstie Hodgson, 18, of Wellington Street, Middlesbrough, was due to make her first appearance at Teesside Crown Court yesterday morning.
She is charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice by allegedly reporting a fictitious sex crime between October 18 and 25. She has not yet entered a plea.
Her solicitor Graham Brown said he had been contacted by her family saying she was ill.
Her grandmother came to court with a sick note confirming she was suffering from a back injury.
Judge Les Spittle adjourned the case for a plea and case management hearing on January 28 next year. Hodgson is on unconditional bail.

How is it that 18 is considered a teenager's age. I mean I have met some immature 18 year olds but I call them adults all the same. Bullocks that. Their just trying to garner sympathy.
In the UK there is the perverse situation where a female can get compensation for a sexual assault regardless of how flaky the evidence for such is. She probably thought it was an easy way to make £11,000 ($1800) and, thanks to our illustrious socialist government dumbing down our education system, was too dumb to make a convincing story. Now had she accused an actual person......

By "per penetration" I mean that the compo is 11k for one alleged incident, scaling up to "my husband / boyfriend has been raping me for over 3 years" which is worth 22k.
All in UK pounds of course.
I mean, seriously, what possible reason could women have to lie?

As is so often the case, we are left in the dark about why she chose to do this.
As one anonymous poster suggests: "She probably thought it was an easy way to make £11,000 ($1800)".
Sadly, that alone IS motivation enough for some. Since we are not told of any men being named nor investigated, it is likely that this one does come down to the financial motivation. [Pure, unadulterated genius deciding to give women money just for claiming to be a crime victim - what could possibly go wrong with that...?]

sadly I know this woman to days after her alleged attack she was bouncing about and telling everyone about her ordeal.
