Below is an excerpt from a news story about a television show (The Steve Wilkos Show) where three of the false rape victims appeared. Please note the rampant victim blaming, especially by the ex-Marine, ex-police officer host -- it was the boys who showed poor judgment. And note the talk about protecting our daughters. "Our daughters?" Yep. Our daughters. Seems our daughters weren't the ones in need of protection in the Hofstra case, but the discussion seems to sort of assume that the young men commit a kind of legal rape. Finally, please note that one of the falsely accused young men isn't allowed to play baseball at his college because he would be a bad influence.
This story shows how far we still have to go.
Link to full story: http://thestamfordtimes.com/story/481219 -- but here's the pertinent part.
In the final segment of the night, three of the five men falsely accused of rape took center stage.
Rachelle Wilkos applauded the courage it took for the men to tell their stories.
"I wouldn't want my daughter involved in something like this, but it was pretty brave of them to come on the show," she said.
"In these cases, you don't often hear the whole story. You always hear about the rape victim. Here, these boys' lives are ripped apart."
During the taping, Steve Wilkos pointed out that two of the accused watched and filmed the consensual sex between the woman and two of the men. That video footage caused the case against the men to crumble, and prompted the woman to say she lied about being raped.
"I think you all showed bad judgment," Wilkos said. "In a way, that video was a good thing to save your (butts). I'm not being a prude, and I enjoy sex as much as the next guy. Maybe if you hold yourselves to a higher level of conduct, stuff like this wouldn't happen."
While most of the audience's response was empathetic toward the three men, one female student -- a junior at Hofstra -- felt the issue was being trivialized.
"I thought (the false rape charge) was horrible," she said. "What you do in your private life is your business. But you're making a circus out of this."
Wilkos disagreed, saying this is just an opportunity for the men to tell their side of the story.
"We're not making a circus out of it; this is the point of the show," the host said.
"I want to do everything to protect my daughter and everyone else's daughter."
One of the accused, 20-year-old Jesus Ortiz, said he's trying to turn the horror of having his name dragged through the headlines into a positive.
"People said I was a monster," Ortiz said. "I can't play baseball (at Bronx Community College) because the coach says I'm a negative influence on the team. I want to be a social worker or guidance counselor to help people like they helped me."

Yep, better protect our daughters from having sex when they want to.
"Yep, better protect our daughters..."
Yeah, I noticed that too. These men are up there because someone's daughter lied about THEM and they want to protect the DAUGHTERS? From what? Getting caught lying about being raped?
Is that what it is?
This is a fucking outrage.
Funny no gender feminist was there to decry the victim blaming but then the victims were males, go figure.
Hysteria is only tempered with the truth. Law enforcemet communities know the true percentages of false rape accussations (it's not 2%)..but you see with VAWA..they can cash in on their missinformation and manufactured statistics.
It will in fact take a civil rights case to "BREAK THE ALLIANCE"
I am proud of these guys for coming out and putting themselves in this situation. They are very brave young men.
I do hope they can overcome this. I pray the woman gets her punishment one way or another.

This is not pertaining to this case but is on topic for blog. It is related to David Copperfield's FRA.
I don't know if you have seen this since I have been MIA for about 3 weeks (computer problems).

If you remember when this case was on the news the girl was not even charged with a crime even though they had it on video tape that she totally lied and admitted it!
The DA came out and said she was a "troubled" woman.
The guys she falsely accused were arrested and went to jail.
yes hun, I followed the case. I am disgusted that she got away with ruining these men's lives.
If being "troubled" was a defense, no one would be in jail. Criminals are troubled and she is the criminal!

Answering this here, because the other thread has been closed.

"Anon 11:18, Would you have a link to that interview?"
I read the original interview, but a quick google didn't find it. Here is an article that refers to it:
http://www.thedent.com/rape.html
Basically, it argues even though there wasn't any sex, it's still "rape" based on other definitions of the word. Which, if you ask me, is an awfully lame argument.
From a broader perspective, there is a whole group of Tori Amos fans who want to share in her perceived victimhood by calling themselves rape victims. And from speaking with a number of them, their stories of what they claim happened to them did not match their self-identified victimization either.
Within the last couple of generations, second-wave feminism has resulted in significant number of young women who want to consider themselves rape victims even though they haven't been raped according to the details of their own stories. It's not that these women are false accusers per se, as they aren't actually accusing anyone specific, but they seem quite open in describing themselves as rape victims. Often it is in reference to the first time they had sex. Although in many cases there wasn't any sex, and young women claiming they were "almost raped" on social networking sites seems so common that it's become a bit of an internet joke.
"If being "troubled" was a defense, no one would be in jail. Criminals are troubled and she is the criminal!"
Yes, there is quite a double standard.
"This is a fucking outrage."
I wouldn't be too outraged. Afaik, Steve Wilkos is the replacement for Jerry Springer. It's like being mad at Nancy Grace or Wendy Murphy.
They HAVE TO be blamed for doing nothing wrong. It's good TV...
The double-standard is blatant. Feminists are the first to let loose a bloody mestrual scream if someone dares to say a promiscuous woman sleeping around "was asking" to be raped.
Hey, Mr. Macho-Chivalrous-Genius- Talk Show Host: just as nobody ASKS to be raped, nobody ASKS to have a false rape claim made against him.
Get it, asshole?
You're worse than the worst feminists.
Axel
I know this guy is horrible.
Probably 80%+ of guys on these types of shows are manginas.

Rape case dropped against San Rafael man
Roy Anthony Herndon, 56, was released from jail last week after prosecutors dropped the case. His bail had been set at $500,000.
The dismissal was prompted by doubts about the accuser's credibility, said Chief Deputy District Attorney Kathryn Mitchell. The case is no longer under investigation, Mitchell said.
Herndon had been charged with rape by a foreign object, assault with intent to commit rape, sexual battery by restraint and false imprisonment by violence.
"The evidence simply undermined her claims," said Herndon's lawyer, Deputy Public Defender Peter Arian. "This situation is a reminder that the government's allegations need to be scrutinized in every case."

It is a perversion of the American legal comminity to enable false rape accussations.
American law enforcement communities are now practicing a phenomena we will call Hysteria=funding!! Those drafting and cashing in statistics for federal VAWA dollars know exactly what I'm talking about, but few average citizens are aware of whats has developped over the last 15 years. Maybe it has to get worse before it gets better..But it is already reaching a point where the gender feminist controlled media elite can no longer keep all the false rape accussations in the dark and out of the public eye.
Most will not understand this statistics = VAWA funding, But the site RADAR does a pretty good job explaining this dynamic that may in fact be un-constitutional.
This is an interesting case. Some are claiming that the alleged victim reported it to the police, and others claim it was originally reported by others, possibly making it a third-party false rape accusation.
"According to state documents, Hock sexually assaulted the woman while she was apparently passed out and it was witnessed by viewers of the Web site, some of whom called police.
Blumberg writes that they were enemies of Hock and they 'falsely reported' a sexual assault.
Blumberg said one of the enemies was the owner and creator of Stickydrama.com, a Web site that touts itself as 'the #1 tabloid about Internet celebrities and gossip.'"
According to the alleged rapist's attorney, the video does not depict a sexual assault. So this may also be an ironic case of a video recording showing innocence of rape. Although the accused may be guilty of other crimes.

Not to defend anyone here, but there is also the usual rush to judgement, seemingly bad journalism, and poor analysis with people jumping to all sorts of conclusions.

From what I can tell, there was a previous incident where Hock broadcast a video giving his audience the impression of illegal sexual activity -- having sex off-camera with a girl who was supposedly 14-years-old -- that may not have actually occurred.
It seems society used to be cautious when dealing with information that comes from the hystera.
Now society turns on it's axis from engaging everything the hystera says!!
That chick in the audience who says that the Hofstra victims should just shut the fuck up and stop creating a circus is just as bad as the liar herself. And that's the main issue here: why isn't the liar going to prison for the rest of her life? Our legal system doesn't even pretend to care about the rights of innocent men. False rape accusers have a license to kill, and a get out of jail free card.
Anon above me
I know!
That is what totally upsets me.
It's proven that she lied about something that could have cost 5 guys their life and she gets off with NOTHING.
It will be interesting to see how the David Copperfield girl gets off with nothing...or a Diane Sawyer special and a book deal.
Does anybody remember what the Hofstra cunt's name was? And I agree; the little scum should be a prisoner for the rest of her miserable life.
It was something like Danmell Ndonye
I might have misspelled it I'm doing it by memory.
She got off without even being CHARGED with a crime!
If were not for the tape she would not have even been NAMED!
Makes me ashamed to be an America. I hate to say that but it's the truth.
Notice also that the video shows that Ndonye had sex with only 2 of the 5 men. The little bitch accused all of them so that none of them would be believed.
That was the first clue that this story was a lie from the get-go - every guy and witness was accused. The readiness with which so many men assumed all 5 guys had sex with her and it was only a question of consent shocked me. When women make mass accusations, we men should be especially careful to assume that none of it is true unless there is corroborating evidence. Don't even assume sex occurred.
Grant other men the same leeway you would expect for yourself if accused. If you won't do this, then you have only yourself to blame should the finger be pointed at you.
Anon
I know exactly how you feel!
And just think of all the guys that are fighting and risking their lives for a country that would do this to them!
Since she falsely accused these young men of a heinous crime and got away with it, she can do it again, and again and, again.
Words of wisdom, anons. As frustrating as this is, it feels good to know that there are some men out there who get it. Ultimately we will have justice again in this country -- we just have to have faith and persistence.
"Notice also that the video shows that Ndonye had sex with only 2 of the 5 men."
Is it online somewhere?
Anon(s),
Thanks for the links.
It is a little creepy if someone tapes a private sex act. But it seems to be a necessity to protect oneself from rape accusations.
Of course, if this video gets published accidentially, the guy who recorded it would be in deep trouble.
But now imagine if the kids are underage. If all are of similar age, they might be able to legally have sex, but they cannot tape it, otherwise it is child porn.
So underage people cannot even produce evidence of their innocence.
Now imagine if an underage kid recorded the stuff anyway. He would be acquitted of rape charges and booked for 20 years for child porn charges. Or worse, as no judge and no jury chould watch the recording, maybe he would be convicted of both rape and child porn.
Bizarre
this is how far we got ....
