A MANDURAH woman who falsely claimed she had been raped was fined $1250 when she appeared in Mandurah Magistrate’s Court on November 2.
$1250 fine for false accusation of rape.
Rebecca Leigh Knight (27) pleaded guilty to creating a false belief and breach of bail.
Police prosecutor Senior Constable Mick Fallows said Knight was at a beach with a man in January 2007. She went into a public toilet and the man left. He said Knight had contacted someone and said she had been raped.
Knight went to the Scarborough police station and told police she had been pushed into a cubicle by a man and raped. Const. Fallows said Knight was examined by a doctor and police found discrepancies in her allegations.
Const. Fallows said 24 man- hours were used investigating the allegations and $607 restitution was sought.
A community justice services officer said Knight had met the man she had been with at the beach through a computer website. When Knight went to the toilet and the man left, Knight was angry.
Knight also failed to appear in Perth Magistrate’s Court on August 6.

It is a societal perversion that has enabled women and girls to reach this degree of insanity when it comes to making false rape accusations. I beleive my false rape accuser, accused me because she realized I wasn't really interested in her.
She may have also falsely accused me of rape because she got a chun of "victim funds" for doing so.I was also the second guy she falsely accused of rape that year.
Hey wait, i hear all the hysterics cry out that women and girls would NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER lie about rape???

I wonder if the money rape advocate groups gave her for being a "victim" was more than the fine she received?

That is something that does not ever get discussed in the media...the payouts these alleged victims get.
In the Kobe case if I remember right that girl got something like $15,000 or $20,000 from some victims group.
It got reported after she gave it back when she won a civil suit. I can only imagine the fortune she got from that.

THEY SHOULD DO - ALWAYS - only it should be taken directly from their accuser, not the taxpayer.
Also, you can't 'fake' a false allegation ... lol. Someone has to make it against you. So there's no potential for anyone to abuse payouts for those who are falsely accused.
Sorry, I meant those who are definitely found to have been falsely accused, not just anyone who is accused.
Keep one thing in mind. Most of those who make false allegations of this sort, are in the age range of 18-25. I don't know that you will see too many deep pockets there.
If you make it so that the prosecutor, and other law enforcment have to pay it out of their pockets, really, the taxpayers are still paying for it, as those people get paid by our taxes. It's a tough one to call.
I would file a civil suit, just to make sure there was a form of compensation levied against ANY earnings of the false accuser. Whether I saw a dime wouldn't matter. Having the conviction is what I would be looking for.
