Ex-Emmerdale star Ben Freeman to wed girl saviour

Some good news in the follow up to our story HERE. Here's to wishing all the best to Ben and his fiance Jen, who appears to be a supportive and understanding woman.

Ben Freeman, once falsely accused of rape, to wed

Ex-Emmerdale hunk Ben Freeman is to wed the girl who helped him rebuild his life after a false rape claim.
Ben proposed to former Hollyoaks actress Jennifer Biddall just eight months after they met in April.
A pal said: "Jen can't stop smiling and showing off her engagement ring." The pair, 29, are yet to set a date.
Ben was dropped from the soap after the 2006 Barbados rape charge and only cleared last December. The pal said: "Jen got him over his ordeal and he wants to spend his life with her."

I live in the UK.

I don't watch TV.

However....

The whole "celebrity" thing means that it is nearly impossible to avoid gushing reviews of celebutard of the moment's latest bowel movement, tattoo, night out, puking in gutter, item of clothing, etc etc etc.

and yet

not a fucking sausage about a star celebutard in one of the top two native soaps (it has been running for 37 years, and has aired just under 5,500 episodes) being proven innocent of a heinous crime.

not a fucking sausage, I hear about it via this site, which links to a footnote story on the people website, which is a footnote website for a footnote periodical.

what's more, the celebutard in question, having won his case in court, now wants to walk away from the lying cunt who accused him, instead of suing her into the gutter for life.

For all the celebutard's whining (and several celebutards have been falsely accused of rape in the UK in the past) there is a world of difference between a man in the street being accused, and a stinking rich household name celebutard who ALREADY, AS A MATTER OF COURSE, retains such things as PR agents, Lawyers, Accountants, etc etc etc.

Agreed.

Still, one has to wonder for every story of an FRA victim rebuilding his life, how many others never do succeed in doing so.

It's too bad that society does not care enough about such victims to inspire some research (preferably academic, but journalistic would suffice) into their collective plight.

Maybe this site could get volunteers who read this site to approach some of these higher profile false rape stories, and ask them for a little write up to post here. It may also be a way to reach out to them.

Anon,

Way ahead of you there. I have been in contact with several high profile public figures who were/are falsely accused. I hope to have something to run in the near future.

If i could represent myself as a volunteer from "the false rape society"..and others got me some contact information, i would approach some men and boys who were higher profile cases; and ask them to write a little something to share their experience with others who have been falsely accused of rape.
We could tell them that we are simply trying to "Raise Awareness"

Scott,

I have been in contact with publicists and PR people for several very high profile cases. I am awaiting their decision as to if they will go on record, in an interview with me that would be run here. I'm hopeful that they will be willing to do so.

Where's the compensation for this man losing his livelihood? He's one of the lucky few who can put it back together.
