An allegation of rape on a 14-year-old girl in Chingford has proven false, police confirm
THE investigation into an alleged rape on a 14-year-old girl has closed after the allegation prove false, police have confirmed.
The girl told officers she was raped by a man in his late teens on October 2 in an alleyway between Lukin Crescent and Withy Mead in Chingford.
It was reported she was followed up Larkshall Road by three men, then grabbed and raped by one of them, while the other two kept watch.
Police made enquiries to establish the exact circumstances of the alleged attack but found the incident never happened.
Three youths, one aged 17 and two aged 16, were arrested in connection with the allegation.
No further action will now be taken against them, a police spokeswoman confirmed.

Surely significant action should be taken against them.
This action should certianly include being sent a full written apology from the girl, compensation for deliberate false arrest/imprisonment, and maybe counseling too as I imagine being locked up when your innocent is very traumatic indeed.
It is a societal perversion to enable women and girls to make false rape accusations with no punishment at all for them.
Another hate crime against men and boys, sanctioned and enabled by the state. If she had given a police officer the finger she would have been punished, but because she "only" destroyed the lives of three males she gets a free pass.
Hey, wait a minute here, I thought women and girls NEVER, EVER, EVER lie about rape.
Is it even constitutional for the law enforcement community to use state and federal dollars to manufacture faulty and inflammatory misinformation about the true percentages of false rape acussations? (its not 2%).
when the law enforcement community manufacture and disseminate the 2% false rape claim, when the actual number may be over 50%...doesn't this misinformation build a prejudice against the innocent.
If she had been two years younger, it would have been lights out for those boys.

Outstanding Veldan! It is time for those who have been falsely accused of rape to make their voices heard and make their plight known.
Is this really a "you can't slam Republicans" blog? That's weak if that's true. I thought this was about men and false allegations.

When exhorted to vote republican, I pointed out that most of these laws CAME from republican leaders.
I asked if it is not true that the VAST majority of DAs, Judges and LE are not, in fact, Republican.
Look it up.
It's not a matter of Dems Vs. Republicans, but BOTH.
Since Bush used the Willie Horton rapist hysteria to beat out Dukakis, political campaigners who do not take a 'tough on crime' stance are felled by those who do - those who do are ALWAYS Republican.
They have sent out postcards with ominious looking men, declaring their Democratic rival was 'soft on crime' and they can expect THIS guy to move in next door - the SAME card with the SAME picture was sent out in numerous states!
I don't know why anyone would espouse ANY political party - they are BOTH the enemy here.
Organizing and FORCING them to listen - or lose their jobs - is the only way.
