The grand jury only heard from the prosecution, and refused to indict. And notice the stand alone sentence that mentions his 9 guns, intimating that he is a danger because of those. Again, the not so subtle way the press presumes guilt, even with the grand jury refusing to indict.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- A correctional counselor has been cleared of charges of forced sex with his wife and criminal threats.
Michael Patrick O'Riley said he was unfairly charged, and now he's trying to put his life back together.
"I knew that I wasn't guilty, but I was confined. But I was in lockdown, almost like solitary confinement," O'Riley said.
O'Riley said he found it hard to eat in jail.
With his bail set at $950,000, O'Riley sat in jail for 35 days on charges of beating and sexually abusing his wife.
She came to the U.S. from China two years ago.
Police found nine guns in their Lodi home.
O'Riley is a firearms instructor, a former Stockton police officer, and a correctional counselor at Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center in Elk Grove.
"It was just a rush to judgment is what I believe … I wasn't listened to," O'Riley said.
The district attorney's office took the case to the grand jury, but it refused to indict, even though it only heard the evidence from the prosecution.
"This was based on the statements of Mrs. O'Riley and when we examined the statements, it appeared to be disingenuous on their face," O'Riley's attorney, Jeff Silva, said.
O'Riley faces another investigation for the same incident from the Sacramento Sheriff's office before he can return to work. He remains on paid administrative leave.
The district attorney's office said it does not have any plans to refile any charges.
The whereabouts of Mrs. O'Riley are unknown at this time

Two things here:
The enabling of false rape accusations by ANYONE is an injustice to decent, law abiding WOMEN, as well as well as men.
We have WOMEN who's innocent husbands are in prison from a false accusation.
We have WOMEN who's innocent sons are in prison from a false accusation.
Just because you are a WOMAN, Anon#2 does not mean YOU are immune from the pain and suffering inflicted by other WOMEN by asserting their 'women's rights' to falsely accuse.
Ive raised BOTH my sons to be decent and respectful to women, and they are. To a fault.
Every female my son has ever known came to his defense, begged for justice, suffered the same pain and anguish with his family at the injustice done him.

I'm not so lucky. I have a successful, long term marriage to a great guy who has never caused me a moment's doubt about his faithfulness in 35 years of marriage. I have two extremely handsome sons, smart, popular, and drug free, whom I am exceedingly proud of.
I didn't just 'luck into' those things. I have always kept my name clean, my reputation spotless, my marriage always comes first - those things are important to me.

Wow! Your intellectual comprehension and logic abilities seem as challenged as your ability to write in English.
This site never blames women who report actual rapes, only those who falsely report that they have been raped (typically, to avoid responsibility for their own wrongdoing or to get revenge on someone, as it seems that this case is about).
Since you clearly have a poor understanding of the subject, perhaps one thing that should be pointed out to you is that grand juries are notorious for returning indictments in most instances. You might have heard remarks to the effect that a grand jury would indict a ham sandwich?
That Michael O'Riley was not indicted is clearly significant. Given that the prosecution was allowed to present every single bit of evidence it could find (and, even a lot of information that was likely not "evidence" of any crime that he was accused of, but rather simply to make him appear violet and therefore, more likely to be guilty of a crime), and, as it seems, nothing from his defense - yet, no indictment.
That can only be suggestive of just how weak the case against him was.
But, let me guess - you believe it should be a woman's right to accuse a man, and have him be punished on her word alone? Am I wrong?
