This is a chilling news article. Men can only fully escape the stigma of a false rape claim by giving up their once-good names and shedding their former identities -- in effect, running away and hiding in a sort of witness protection program of their own making. Most disturbing in the news story below is the callousness of the person quoted who doesn't want the presumed innocent to be afforded anonymity, Ruth Hall of Women Against Rape. The cold-heartedness is mind-boggling. Hall has her issue, rape, and to hell with victims of other crimes, such as false rape reporting. The sexual grievance industry constantly insists on equating a rape lie with lies about murder and other crimes for which the truth is much easier to learn and which rarely stigmatize innocent people,. That insistence is dishonest in the extreme.
New life for man cleared of rape
Peter Bacon will set off for the airport next month for a flight to Malaysia. But it won't be Peter Bacon who will step off the plane at the other end.
Mr Bacon, a 27-year-old graduate from Canterbury in Kent, says the stigma of being wrongly accused of rape has led him to create a new identity and make a fresh start thousands of miles from Britain.
In March, a jury at Winchester Crown Court heard that a woman was so drunk that she was incapable of giving consent to sex and that Mr Bacon took advantage.
He insisted that the woman had consented. The jury returned a unanimous not guilty verdict in 45 minutes.
Since then, Mr Bacon has been busy reinventing himself.
'Nightmarish'
Speaking to Victoria Derbyshire on BBC Radio 5 live, he said: "I've changed my name by deed poll now - the whole name.
"I've changed my passport, my taxes, my National Insurance, my NHS records. Everything, basically."
He has set up new Facebook and Hotmail accounts - and his degree certificate bears his new name.
"I enquired about name changing on certificates before I graduated. Because, apparently, your degree certificate is a historical document, they will not change your name; it's impossible. So, if I didn't do it before graduation, then I couldn't do it.
"My name has come up a few times since the original newspaper interest died down. My name is going to keep on coming up and I'd rather move away and start again, I suppose.
"You've still got your name connected to it. Just to have it connected to something like that is bad, terrible, nightmarish. It doesn't matter what the outcome was."
Mr Bacon said he felt like an innocent man "but punished all the same... it just seems like a load of doors have closed to me because of this, even though I've done nothing wrong".
'Traumatic'
In August, a former Emmerdale actor, Lewis Linford, was cleared of sexually assaulting a woman at a nightclub in Hull, East Yorkshire.
Lawyer Nick Freeman, who represented him, believes the law that allows rape defendants to be named while their alleged victims remain anonymous should be reviewed.
[Lewis Linford] was a completely innocent victim whose life was traumatised by a fabricated allegation
Nick Freeman, who represented Lewis Linford
Mr Freeman said: "Those who are investigated and charged in such cases should be given the same protection as the complainant until such time as they are convicted.
"The judge should always retain the discretion to lift the veil of anonymity in deserving cases prior to conviction.
"If you have a serial sex offender, they shouldn't be able to hide behind anonymity so as not to impede police investigations.
"Counsel should be able to apply to the judge for anonymity to be lifted and he would grant it or deny it.
"In the case of Lewis Linford, the jury was out for just seven minutes, so he got a lot of positive publicity and sympathy.
"But it had an extremely traumatic effect on him and his family - emotionally, physically and financially. He was a completely innocent victim whose life was traumatised by a fabricated allegation.
"She was entitled to remain anonymous while he was subjected to the full glare of publicity."
Break away
Women Against Rape does not share Mr Freeman's view about anonymity for men accused of rape.
Ruth Hall, from the campaign group, said: "Most rapists are serial rapists. Many rape cases could be won if more than one woman came forward to give evidence."
She said if suspects were given anonymity, police would not be able to find other alleged victims.
Ms Hall said: "Rape survivors and alleged rapists are both entitled to justice. But justice means convicting the men who commit rape.
"We have sympathy for anyone accused of something they didn't do, but that applies to all crimes.
"Rape survivors need anonymity or no-one would come forward to report rape."
While the debate goes on about the rights and wrongs of anonymity, Peter Bacon has decided it is time to leave Britain. But why Malaysia?
"It's getting a new start really, isn't it? A lot of people here know me as Peter Bacon. I'd like to go to a place where nobody knows me and I can start using my new name, start a new Facebook group, just rebuild a life really.
"I'm surrounded by too many people who know me as Peter Bacon.
"But I think as soon as I get to the airport with my passport and I'm boarding the plane then I'll think 'that's it, there is no more Peter Bacon from now'.
"So hopefully, I'll be starting my life again completely afresh. It should be good."

How to escape the stigma of a false rape claim: get a new identity, leave the country

America has a dark history with Rape hysteria, and Rape lynchings. 9 out of ten of the blacks that were lynched during this dark period of Americas history (deep soouth lynchings) were black men over rape accusations. Back then no-one could ever believe women would make false rape accusations.
Today the gender feminist klan controls the media, and again is spreading gender feminist propaganda that tells us "women and girls never, ever, ever, ever lie about rape".
This faulty and inflammatory misinformation has again woke the klan/ rape beast, and the gender feminists should be held accountable for the consequences of this hysteria that it brews.
Edit....This faulty and inflammatory misinformation has again woke the klan type rape/lynch beast.
But the modern Rape/lynching machine is even more rooted. Now the law enforcement community is also "cashing in" on the hysteria dollars.
What is even worse is it seems a lot of these false accusations I read about are against guys in the military. So they are willing to give their life for a country that basically spits in their face.
If I were falsely accused or put on a sex offender registry I would look into moving out of the country.
Why support a country that would do this to you? You could lead a better life somewhere else.
Ruth Hall, from the campaign group, said: "Most rapists are serial rapists. Many rape cases could be won if more than one woman came forward to give evidence."
good lord. so we have 1 in 3 men that are rapists, and most of these rapists are serial rapists. at this rate, rapists should start a political platform.
what will elected officials do to appease the serial rapist contigent?? their sizable demographic, according to this woman, should not be ignored.
This is so horrible...this woman has as much compassion as a false accuser does. And his entire life is in ruins now. These women...these rape victim advocates...are very much like so many feminists: they are too indoctrinated into a one-sided paradigm of female-as-victim and male-as-oppressor to perceive their own supremacism. And then women like that expect men to take rape victims seriously, whenever they do not take victims of false accusations seriously? These "victim advocates" do harm to rape victims by making men bitter enough to return the favor, and be apathetic to their plight. They really do.
The United States has exported it's homegrown terrorism of rape hysteria and child abuse hysteria to most English speaking countries.
That there WERE some place to flee.
The Margarita Island of Venezuela has informally advertised as an 'Underground Railroad' for hapless victims of hysteria.
I just don't trust South American countries ...they have a nasty history of 'disappearing' political dissidents...
Read up on the International Megan's law being proposed if you don't want to sleep at night.
For decades innocent people have left the law in the hands of hysterics who established themselves as child savers.
Who can fault a child saver?
Except it is an ever widening chasm of injustice. We've ALL known something was amiss with the court system, but who dares even THINK of questioning the good intentions when it comes to 'saving children'. You end up labeled a child molester or pedophile protector to question the 'greater good'.
Years ago, when I worked in a High School, several girls called a rape hotline from my office to ask how to go about 'proving' a cocky football player they disliked was a rapist.
The hot line person told them to get as many girls as possible to report things about him, thus creating a 'paper trail' for the day he might be charged as a rapist.
A paper trail...a paper trail of inuendo and false accusations...
Longmont woman accused of rape agrees to plea deal
Janice McCarl faces up to five years in prison for menacing, assault

Janice McCarl , 54, is accused of raping a Longmont man. JAN 29, 2009
A 54-year-old Longmont woman accused of drugging and raping a male friend last year could spend up to five years behind bars after pleading guilty this afternoon to menacing and third-degree assault.
Janice McCarl will be sentenced Jan. 22. She faces prison and hefty fines but won’t have to register as a sex offender -- a result that the victim did not agree with, prosecutor Catrina Weigel said.
He "felt she should have to be required to register,” Weigel said.
McCarl’s case was scheduled to go to trial this week, but attorneys agreed to a plea deal at the last minute. If she had been convicted of sexual assault, McCarl could have been sentenced to up to 16 years in prison.

Good post Sgtmom. It's high time they nabbed all these sluts for raping men. It's getting to the point men can't leave the house w/o a bodyguard.
Anon at 6:04: Yeah, just like all the women who want to "take back the night' need a bodyguard, even though they, and their rape lies, already own it.

Blood and tears money. How many more men and boys will be required to pay this horrible price that is demanded by the insatiable gender feminist juggernaut?
Off topic but important.

The woman in Longmont, Janice McCarl ,faces up to five years in prison for " menacing, assault"?
I hardly call raping someone with a foreign object " menacing assault". Where were the victim's advocates? They were probably having a party to celebrate such a horrible crime.
Here is a link to the report in Denver. Notice there are no comments.

How many years would the man be forced to serve if he were merely accused of raping her?
" She said if suspects were given anonymity, police would not be able to find other alleged victims".
Not a thing about the victims of FRAs who enjoy anonyminity which can prevent police from finding other alleged victims.
FRAs who enjoy anonyminity which can prevent police from finding other alleged victims.
Should be FRAs who enjoy anonyminity, which can prevent police from finding other alleged victims of the FRA.
Ms McCarl is yet another beneficiary of the female sentencing discount. She got a plea deal no man would get.
Ruth Hall, from the campaign group, said: "Most rapists are serial rapists. Many rape cases could be won if more than one woman came forward to give evidence."
I wonder what evidence Ms Hall has for this claim. It is, I suspect, nothing more than wishful thinking.
It is perhaps worth noting that Germany recently dropped the programme that automatically compensates the "victims" of reported (as opposed to convictions in court) rapes, and at a stroke reported rapes dropped by approximately 70%

Interesting. The U.S. should do the same.
Paying girls who make false rape accusations is a perversion of our NOW gender feminist dominated law enforcement community.
Allowing a little leeway for girls to get "hysterical" at certain times is just a little "deviant", but somewhat tolerable.
But when the law enforcement community engages in a sort of misinformation Alliance with the gender feminist community...thats when it reaches the point of "perversion".
Easily I to but I about the post should have more info then it has.
