I will only say this: when they abort baby girls in China for economic reasons, everyone thinks it's absolutely horrible. When they abort baby boys here in America because mother wants a female companion, it's completely understandable and acceptable. A lengthy article, but here's an excerpt:

I have a feeling a lot of the failing in young boys in aspects of their lives is because of the attitude to them when they are young.
A little girl runs around with sticks, playing sword fights, bleeding and getting scraped up. That is a little out of sorts.
A little boy doing it however, is just being a little boy. It's what they do. They are a bit hyperactive, a bit aggressive and very "guess what?" Male!
I've noticed a trend (through my mother being a primary teacher and having interactions with lots of parents) for parents to try and stop this behaviour. Through punishment or drugs all in an attempt to calm the boys down to be "like girls".
This just can NOT be good for them. I would place it as one of the reasons as to why they may not be developing correctly, achieving their full potential or leading very happy lives. Which then doubles back into this stupid idea that a girl is a boy plus.
Perhaps we should get some famous designers to come up with hundreds of "young boys" fashionable clothes, that way we can at least convince the vapid idiot mothers who think "being able to dress them up" is a valid reason to abort from doing so.

Actually, over the longer term, what we are seeing is darwinism in action.
If you REALLY want to make a difference, you only have to make one thing inviolate law.
No artificial insemination of any kind.

This article reminds me of something I have said over and over; abortion is feminist sponsored/supported population control.
This preference for girls in the West can contribute to the discrimination against baby girls, especially in developing countries. Most parents having children will be happy with whatever nature gives them and are more concerned whether they are healthy, but those looking to adopt are more likely to have a marked preference for girls. If girls are a lot easier to place, there will be a greater incentive to find baby girls to meet the demand, by fair means or foul.

Of course, given the hypergamy (Wiki that one, it's an important term) that is prevalent here, I suspect that veterinary cat clinics will be a better investment.
China's policy of heavily choosing males is a disaster in the making.

This may be very true in a more perfect world.
I medicated my hyper active son - out of sheer terror.
Over 80% of men in prison are said to have attention deficit disorder.
My son spent the beginning years of his life punished, cornered, benched, yelled at, reviled, shunned --kids in his class picked up on the teacher's anger toward him and responded badly as kids do.
He couldn't sit down and 'behave'.
He just couldn't.
He HATED the meds. Even on them he was still a wild man. I read dire warnings about ill effects later down the road for kids taking the meds - but feared he'd wind up in prison if I didn't do something.
I walked our dog to meet him every day at lunch to give him his pill. The kids adored the dog. When they asked who's dog it was, my heart clutched as they said "oh. I don't like him. He's bad". I volunteered in his classrooms, making friends with the teachers, and being super sweet nice to the classmates.
I ended up putting him in a small private school that needed the tuition money more than they needed to be mean to the kid.
It paid off. By the time he entered High School, his 'bad boy' ways suddenly became very cool. He was very popular and well liked. The neighbors hated us with all the kids grouping at our house.
He went from being the lonely 'bad' kid on a bench to being Mr. HotStuff.
Then came the false accusation.
And my worst fears came true.
Hyper active boys are not tolerated in current society.
Very little is done to accommodate them. Many are abused, or turn to self medication (drugs, alcohol)to cope with the constant negativity they are bombarded with.
Obama is proposing more school/confinement for them, which will lead to disaster for kids who can't be subjected to long confinements.
Ironically, I ran into my son's teacher years afterward...who told me a painting crew discovered three years of spit up Ritalin pills behind a heating vent where he used to sit...

If that is the true story (sorry, i don't believe most of what i read on the internet at face value) then that is a sad tale indeed.
I'm against medicating boys for being boys, but I'm not denying that there ARE actual hyperactive ones. ADD, ADHD do actually exist they are just grossly over reported and over diagnosed, often mistaken with youthful energy.
Unfortunately being hated by the other kids probably had little do with it, sure, it may have been how it started but little kids are twisted and cruel. They always single out and ridicule the weak and once someone has become ridiculed it only continues. The shift to a new environment changing that says a lot about it, because there he had a chance to "reset" if you will and not be viewed as "that annoying talky kid who won't stop".
I had a similar girl in my primary school named Courtney, she was a perfectly fine girl (i was probably one of her only friends) yet everyone teased her relentlessly. Why? She had red hair. Kids are not as sweet and innocent as people make out, they are also capable of quite sadistic behaviour.

Now i want everyone to think about China and their obsesson with the lesbian village in Sweden. 50 years from now when we've selectively abort our population to the same 65/35 ratio of one gender to another (women to men in the wests case) how we'll all be laughing at the stupid Women who try to book hundreds of flights to that Australian town where they're all gay cowboys.

Hyper activity, poor impulse control and missing/misreading social cues are the three big things that identify ADD kids.
Add/ADHD kids are 'different'. To use a barnyard analogy, when you paint a red dot on a chicken's head, the other chickens peck it to death because it's 'different'.
If you remember back in grade school, there was probably a little boy who disrupted the class, annoyed the teacher, probably flunking in school, forgetting or losing books and homework.
When the teacher's patience is tested constantly - as a 'normal human being'(which I don't fault them for)their reaction is usually a negative one, which the 'regular' kids pick up by means of social cues - leading to a negative reaction.
Michael Milken, the junk bond king who went to prison in the 80's is a perfect example.
He went to prison not for committing a crime, but for figuring out something no one else was aware of, and cashing in on it.
He was unable to effectively defend himself, and was skewered unmercifully in the press. It's only in 20/20 hindsight anyone admits the guy wasn't a criminal but really got screwed.
ADD/AHDH kids are frequently highly intelligent, but fail in school(due to reasons above) so they are supposed 'dumb'.
They are not anymore 'criminal' than anyone else, but usually lack the ability to talk their way out of trouble(again for reasons above).
Your remarks lead me to believe you don't have close dealings with such a person, but it's a fascinating study. For all it's negative consequences, there are many brilliant people presumed to be 'ADD'. Einstein. General Patton. Thomas Edison. Benjamin Franklin.
Those are the lucky ones who weren't abused or imprisoned for being 'different'.
I suspect most people, myself being one, don't medicate their children to 'feminize' them, but to protect them from an intolerant society with it's gaping maw prison system.
Their world is becoming more and more 'feminized' by longer and longer hours of school confinement, fewer open spaces and freedom to do what boys do without adult prosecution.
Adopted children frequently have ADD/ADHD from parents who had poor impulse control and missed social cues for the consequences of their behavior.
The world as it is evolving, is closing in on them.
Actually i was close friends with at least two kids with ADD, but then again i was a "smart kid" and fell into the same "different" category of friends because of it.

I didn't clarify myself correctly, i am against it in cases where it is not really ADD. I understand actual sufferers need whatever help they can get, though my comments about moving school come directly from one of my friends.
He was always shunned and picked on because of his ADD in primary school, even once he got proper medical aid. He may have been more controlled but "damage done" none of the kids changed their opinion of him.
Once he went to high school, that all changed and he became rather popular and life went on as normal.
Bringing this back around to the topic, i mentioned the over medication purely because boys are by their nature very active and there are MANY more misdiagnosed cases of ADD in boys than girls.
This can lead to parents to fear that by having a boy, they'll have a higher chance of having a "different" boy than if they were having a girl.
Honestly though, people are treated differently for enough other reasons that those fears are ridiculous, just like the women in the article.
Overmedicating boys isn't an attractive option, but how else are you going to dull their pain? By giving them a normal family and way of life? Oh no, we can't have that! It's the feminist plantation for men -- that's the only way we can build a utopia for entitled women.
