Four people were arrested, and this woman is out on bail. I have to wonder if someone who had raped four people would be offered bail? The question barely survives the asking.
Oh, and she's not named, either.
Carlisle woman charged for false sexual assault claim
A WOMAN who triggered a major investigation after claiming she was the victim of a sex attack in Carlisle has been charged with perverting the course of justice.
The 22-year-old is expected to appear in court following an alleged sexual assault in Cavendish Terrace, Stanwix, on January 4.
She answered police bail yesterday
The charge against her states that between January 3 and March 21, with intent to pervert the course of public justice, she made a false allegation that she was subject to a serious sexual assault which instigated a major police investigation during which four people were arrested.
That, the charge adds, had a tendency to pervert the course of public justice contrary to common law.
Detectives’ investigation into the claims was one of the biggest manhunts seen in Carlisle in recent years.
That probe involved some of Cumbria Police’s most senior detectives in a special incident room staffed by between 30 and 40 officers.
A series of public appeals were made to try to trace the people the woman said had attacked her.

So four victims this time - pretty impressive stuff.
Lets make this perfectly clear - these people are victims of a sex crime and she is a sex offender.
She should serve the same amount of time any of those four people faced AND repay the police all the monies she has taken from them.
Also, and msot importantly of all, she needs putting on the sex offenders register in order to make people aware exactly how dangerous she is.

I thought women weren't taken seriously?

When did you last have sober sex? I only ask because a new survey released this week reveals that the average woman has slept with eight men, but was drunk with at least five of them. On two of these occasions, they couldn't even remember the man's name the next day. Worse still, one in 20 women admits they have NEVER had sex without alcohol as they lack confidence in their body.

A police officer was arrested for allegedly raping a woman while on duty, the Metropolitan Police confirmed today.
The alleged incident took place after the woman called 999 over a drunken row with her boyfriend, it was reported.

This week Helen Goddard, a 27-year-old teacher, was jailed for conducting a lesbian affair with a 15-year-old pupil. The pupil was said to have provided much of the impetus for the relationship. While Melanie Phillips, writing in the Daily Mail, said that this was no excuse and “the fact that [children] are acting out a parody of adult behaviour does not turn them into adults”, others took a more relaxed view.
In yesterday’s times2 Germaine Greer wrote of the affair: “I’m supposed to think that falling in love with people under the age of consent is evidence of deep perversion and vileness, but I don’t. Young people shouldn’t fall in love, you wish they wouldn’t and yet they do, very often . . .”
You see, here we have a society in which the propotion of households headed by single female has soared from next to none to basically 1 in 3
Invariably it is girls from these single female households who dress like petite sluts, if there were a father present, he would veto it before the young girl in question got anywhere near the front door.
And then we have Germaine Greer, redefining what happened with teacher Helen Goddard (27) and her 15 year old female pupil as an "affair"
It was RAPE
It was rape for two reasons.
1/ The child was under 16, the age of consent in the UK, therefore it is statutory rape.
2/ A recent update to the sexual offences act states that where there is a relationsip based on trust or responsibility, eg teacher or step-father, due to the ability of the adult to influence the young person, the young person cannot legally give consent until they are 18.
So we have what was clearly RAPE, as defined by 2 separate laws on the statute books, and yet here we are seeing it re-written as an affair of some sort.

gwallan,
That is one of the largest lies that the 'rape industry' has been telling for a while now. If they didn't take it seriously, we wouldn't have all these stories to put up here, as no one would be arrested on an accusation. It's another emotive lie to hit peoples feelings, and turn off actually thinking about the issue.
Afor,
Sick, that they do refer to it as an affair, like it is something that is perfectly acceptable. Would they do the same if it was a 26 year old man, and a 15 year old boy or girl? Doubtful. And the comments there are all that the judge was to stiff in the sentence he imposed, and that she shouldn't have to register as a sex offender.
I will be interested to see if they post my comment. I wasn't rude or obnoxious and didn't use foul language, but my guess is, it won't be published.
