I would love to see a rape victim be told by a judge that because of thier actions, they had to pay thier own court costs. Talk of punishing the victim.
Mistaken verdict read, man acutally not guilty of rape.
A vet was cleared of raping a Polish woman in Penrith – but only after the jury foreman told him by mistake that he had been found guilty.
Niall McDonald, 33, slumped with his head in his hands when the verdict was returned after a four-day trial at Carlisle Crown Court.
But his despair turned to delight seconds later when the foreman admitted he had got it wrong, and the verdict should have been a unanimous ‘not guilty’.
However, Mr McDonald will still have to pay his own legal costs.
Judge Paul Batty QC said it would not be appropriate for the costs to be reimbursed out of public funds since Mr McDonald had “brought the prosecution on himself” by the way he had behaved.
“The conduct of the defendant was reprehensible,” the judge said.
Mr McDonald had been accused of raping the woman as she slept in an armchair after a drunken night out. She told the court she had woken up to find him on top of her, having sex with her.
Mr McDonald, of Amherst Crescent, Hove in East Sussex, said that he did have sex with the woman, but she agreed.

Its so easy for nasty poisonous women to cry rape, that guys should just walk away from them.
But then we will have legions of lesbians children to deal with, of which history has never seen or dealt with before.

Actually,it has been seen before. Study the build up to the fall of Ancient Rome. I suspect things will seem surprisingly familiar to you.

A Scottish doctor struck off following allegations he had an affair with a teenage patient claimed last night that he is innocent and vowed to clear his name.
In an exclusive interview with the Press and Journal, Dr Steven Ashenford said his life has been “hell” since he was arrested over claims he had raped a 17-year-old acne patient with learning difficulties.
Although he has never been charged by police, the General Medical Council (GMC) has ruled the 34-year-old abused his position of trust to strike up a relationship and gain gratification in a “most reprehensible way” at his Shropshire surgery.

That was and understatement of my reactio when I saw that. What is really reprehensible, is that if someone who had been raped was told that, the outcry would be deafening. Once again, the double standard is disgusting.
I never knew that lesbians had children...
This is what the guy gets for serving his country...it is his reward. Much like how vets, including disabled ones, are treated in the U.S.
Note that even though he was found not guilty, the newspaper rashly and vindictively publishes not only his name, but also area of residence.
Furthermore, note how articles of this type are generally authored by "Staff Reporter" — granting them full rein to be licentious with no accountability.
