False report charged in alleged Peachtree City sexual assault

Not much in the description as to why it was determined to be false, or what the motive behind the false report was. Thankfully, no one was arrested, other than Ms. Chavez.

LaDonna West Chavez arrested for false report.

False report charges have been issued against the woman who alleged a sexual assault on a Peachtree City golf cart path.

On Aug. 27, officers of the Peachtree City Police Department responded to the
Piedmont/Fayette Community Hospital to investigate an incident involving a female victim reporting that she was sexually assaulted on the multi-use path system, according to Captain Rosanna Dove, public information officer.

The victim reported that at approximately 5:30 a.m., while she was running on the multi-use path adjacent to Lake Kedron and the cul-de-sac of Samiel Point and Larkins Landing, a white male approached her from behind and then forced her to the ground. The suspect was said by the woman to have sexually assaulted her and fled the scene.

Follow-up investigations revealed that the complainant falsely reported the sexual assault.
LaDonna West Chavez, 30, of Barberry Lane, Peachtree City, was subsequently arrested for false report of a crime and false statements and writings.

She was transported to the Fayette County Jail and was awaiting her appearance before the Fayette County Magistrate Court for bond, Dove said Wednesday afternoon.

Thanks to one of our readers for the heads up.

"Follow-up investigations revealed that the complainant falsely reported the sexual assault."

Sorry to some of you, but I gotta say it:

Chalk another one up to the police for sleuthing out yet another false rape accusation.

"...subsequently arrested for false report of a crime and false statements and writings.
She was transported to the Fayette County Jail..."

Arrested & Jailed - which is exactly how these criminals (and, yes, to the "J-Troll", I said "criminals", and I meant "criminals" - got that straight, they committed a crime, thus, they ARE criminals) need to be treated.

It's certainly no worse than what would happen to a man who was either named, or misidentified as a "suspect".

Good work, officers.

Those police officers need to spread the word about false rape, sexual assault, and other violent crimes.

I feel embarassed to ask but, how many police officers had to be affected by false accusations, before some of them began taking false acusations seriously ?
