Another example of the price of a false rape claim. Two people are dead, countless injured because of a rape lie.
Rape rumor triggered China factory riot
BEIJING, June 28 (UPI) -- Chinese police have arrested a disgruntled former factory worker they say triggered a riot that left two people dead and 118 injured.
The worker was held for allegedly posting a false report on a Web site claiming two girls had been raped by a half-dozen men at the Xuri Toy Factory in Shaoguan City in Guangdong province in southern China.
The posting led to a Thursday night confrontation between hundreds of workers from the Xuri plant and employees from another factory in Xinjiang, the Xinhua news agency reported Sunday.
Xinhua said further investigation turned up no reports of any sexual assaults. Police determined the former worker had posted the rumor after quitting his job and failing to be rehired.

Clearly this is an international problem. This illustrates just how dangerous false rape accusations are. When they are made, people always believe them, and sometimes the lies lead to serious violence. These bogus claims put the community in jeopardy and should be dealt with appropriately.
No doubt he'll get in trouble, since he's a man. It would have been much more interesting to see what would happen if a woman claiming to be raped made the post.
China has laws against false rape accusations, and this girl will pay her debt to society for the harm she has caused. It's only when a society gets extremely perverted does it then foster and enable womens violence, and womens false rape accusations.
Gee Whiz, even in China, a socialist utopia. I've always been taught that women never, ever, ever, ever lie about rape. Well, So what's up with this?
"China has laws against false rape accusations,"
Traditionally in China you were held liable if someone committed suicide based on something you said or did. Imagine what they did, and will do, when you casue a riot like this.
But it gets worse for her. This lie didn't just start one rito; it has started a huge backlash in Xinjiang wher ethe accused workers hail form The riot targetd uyghurs at the factory, and back in Uyghurland mobs have gone around massacreing ethnic Chinese. It's a huge embarrassment for China, been in the news all over the world for at least a week now, above and beyond the harm to completely innocent Chinese citizens 3,000 miles away from the riot this lie provoked.
She will very probably get taken out into the arena for this. And the sweet part is the government will charge her family for the bullet, the way thay always do.
"It's only when a society gets extremely perverted does it then foster and enable womens violence, and womens false rape accusations."
This had to do with another kind of perversion, the perversion called racism. This was a Han mob targeting Uyghur workers in a factory dormitory - Basically the same as an old-time lynching.
"No doubt he'll get in trouble, since he's a man. "
There is non chivalry in China. Everyone expects women to be strong-willed, devious and ruthless. The literature and chinese history are full of that. When they fuck up, they end up dead.
Feminism may happen in China, if men continue to allow themselves to be divided along racial and class lines.
Only a matter of time until feminism makes inroads into China. In fact their entry in might be provided by that 'literature' and 'they end up dead' stuff mentioned above. They can leverage the latter as a 'special' human rights violation.
On thing to consider however, is that China is the U.S.'s biggest creditor. So the U.S. government has to watch its step on anything that might piss off that country. In fact now that I think of it, that's probably the reason good old American 'human rights' has not made much inroad there already. Nix the above.
re my comment above, didn't Bush try to have an embargo or something?
