A short and sweet report of a false rape claim -- and the worst, scariest kind -- for revenge. At least the woman was arrested. Of course she wasn't named. The man had been wrongly arrested, but there is no information as to how long he spent in jail. At least he wasn't named in the story.
Arrest for perjury for false rape claim.
A 36-year-old woman had been arrested in Tembisa for perjury yesterday after laying a false charge of rape, Gauteng police said.
Captain Manyadza Ralidzhivha said the woman had opened a case of rape in February. She alleged that she had been raped by a pastor when she went to assist with tea at a church.
During investigations, police questioned her and she revealed that she had gone to the man's house, but that he had not raped her.
The man, who had been arrested, was her boyfriend at the time and she had become angry after she found him sleeping with another woman.
She will appear before the Tembisa Magistrate's Court on a charge of perjury.
