Woman accused over false rape claim

A woman is to stand trial accused of wasting police time by claiming she had been raped.
Kirsty Holland, 23, of Frederick Street, Seaham, County Durham, pleaded not guilty to the charge when she appeared before Peterlee magistrates.She was remanded on unconditional bail.
She will appear at a pre-trial case management hearing on May 27, before standing trial in June.
