Note that this Web site doesn't much care if a man is wrongly accused because of (1) a lie or (2) a misidentification. Our perspective is that of the innocent man, and the harm to the innocent man is pretty much the same in either situation. The eradication of these wrongful claims requires different medicines (this book is intended to remedy the misidentification of criminals where, as here, the wrong man is fingered while the real rapist is still at large). We believe that the most effective way to mobilize public support to rid the world of both types of wrongful rape claims is to tell the stories of the men wrongly accused -- so that the world can see the hell they are dragged through and feel their pain.

Featured on tonight's 60 Minutes . . .
Here is the book featured on 60 Minutes tonight, trying to right some of the injustices of wrongful rape claims: Picking Cotton: Our Memoir of Injustice and Redemption. The book was authored by a man wrongly imprisoned for many years and the woman whose misidentification put him there. It is wonderful that America got to see the pain of the woman who put this good and innocent man behind bars for so long.
