Boy denies rape, jailed on nothing more than woman's allegation

In the following story, a teen male denies the claims of a 26-year-old woman that he raped her. He also denies that he made violent threats toward her. Nevertheless, he is incarcerated "to protect the public and women in particular."

And what about protecting the rights of men and boys "in particular," Your Honor? This is what Western Civilization has come to: females can have men and boys incarcerated based on nothing more than their uncorroborated allegation that they've been raped. And if the boy wasn't a minor, his name would be splashed across the news for the world to see, his reputation marred likely beyond repair. A male accused of rape has lost the trial even before it has begun.

Because women don't lie about rape. Right.

Here is the story:

Teen rape bail move is overturned

A decision to grant bail to a 15-year-old boy charged with raping a tourist in west Belfast has been overturned by the High Court.

The 26-year-old woman was allegedly attacked in Colin Glen Forest Park.

The teenager denies charges of rape, false imprisonment and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

However, the High Court was told he threatened to smash the victims face with a rock and stab her with a knife during the incident on 12 April.

A crown counsel disclosed the details as she appealed a decision to grant the accused bail by Lisburn Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

She said the 15-year-old, who cannot be named because of his age, was high on cannabis when he allegedly carried out the attack.

The court heard how the teenager admitted to police he was high, but said that intercourse had been consensual.

The defence said he denied in any way acting violently or inappropriately towards the woman.

However he was remanded in custody after Lord Justice Higgins said he had to protect the public and women in particular.
